Absolutely worst experience ever. For both myself and my son. Zero "bedside" manor at all. Went in to establish care as we are new to area. The experience was traumatic. Both my son and I have been going to eye professionals for years.. and this is the 1st time we have ever felt uncomfortable and I was definitely questioning his abilities. He says he likes to be very through. We were at our apt for over 3 hours. He shined a super bright light into my sons eye for a continuous 30 mins.. only saying ever so quietly blink.. blink.. blink.. I had to tell him he was done and to move on ... my son doesn't want to go to the eye dr anymore because of this guy. Then it was my turn. Same bs of shining the bright light in my eye for roughly 30 mins telling me to blink over and over again. And then he flipped my eyelid inside out with a paperclip off his desk.... how many other eyes and hands has this paperclip already touched???? End of our ridiculous apt he casually tells me oh, by the way you have cataracts in both your eyes and I highly suspect glaucoma in your left... WHAT! I have never had any crazy thing come up with my eye exams before... so he referred me to a eye physician to get my eyes checked for glaucoma... I am a complete nervous wreck for a month waiting for this referral apt... I go and that provider was great and they did their thing and tells me my eyes are very healthy and no sign of glaucoma or cataracts at all. I went back to get my contacts thinking this will be the last time I see this guy... nope. After doing yet another crazy eye exam and getting upset with me for saying you just did this... why are you doing this again when I'm just here for my contacts? He tried to give some Crazy messed up rx and contacts after he gave me some that felt great and I could see... but he didn't like the left eye. So the contacts he was going to have me wear out I was seeing double. He then got irritated that I voiced my concerns about the now double vision and said he would now have to order another pair of contacts in... Now I'm upset. I can't go to a different eye Dr because this quack used up my yearly eye exam and I am not going back for a 3rd time to endure more of his bs. I would highly recommend to go elsewhere and not see Bury.

The staff at the optical store were incredibly kind and helpful. I went in just to have my glasses tightened, even though I didn't buy them there, and they did it for me without any problem and free of charge. Their friendliness and willingness to assist really stood out. I'm very grateful for their excellent service, and I will definitely recommend them to others!

This was the worst experience I have ever had having an eye exam. Inside Fred Meyer is very loud and the music is very loud. It is impossible to hear the receptionist plus she was wearing an N95 mask. I immediately felt like I wanted to leave, but I couldn't miss the appointment because it was set up through VA community care. Dr. Bury is not very friendly. He mumbles while he's doing the exam wearing a N95 mask and I was never really clear as to if he was talking to me or mumbling to himself the entire time. He has low tech equipment and is very slow. The exam room is also the storage space. While waiting for my eyes to dilate he was returning a box of alcohol wipes to the shipping warehouse over the phone. I did understand that conversation, so he probably wasn't mumbling to me during the exam. I was so thankful that my authorization did not allow me to get glasses there. I wouldn't have been able to do it. I left the place as quick as possible. I will never go back to this place.

I think honestly the dr is not friendly. Most exams I've done, everything is explained. He almost seemed like he didn't want to see me lol. The lady up front is the sweetest but very difficult for me to understand her. The first time I was there it took longer than it should've. I needed glasses but didn't want to stay any longer. People were starting to come and now there's a line of folks waiting to get help. The lady up front looked a bit overwhelmed. She needs assistance and maybe someone to help her explain things to customers. She's very sweet but it's very difficult for me understand what she was saying as she was explaining to me my insurance policy and what I'm authorized for through them. I ended up buying from another place out of pocket. Thought things would've changed; first visit was when things were just opening up since the lockdowns. He asked if I was fully vaccinated and I stated no, he seemed irritated and got me a mask. I returned for the first time last week since my first visit maybe a year and a half ago. I went to see about getting glasses and using my insurance this time. People were coming in and waiting around and I was still having a hard time understanding what she was saying I didn't want to agree to something and pay something or sign and I didn't understand. So I just said, I have to go and will need to come back another time due to work. I normally don't post these types of reviews but I no longer wish to do business there.

Only negative experience I've ever had during an eye exam in my life. Forced a brand of contacts on me that I didn't like (and they were the worst contacts I've ever worn)and I requested a different brand. Exam was very primitive for the technology available these days. Staff and optometrist were all rude and I will not be return to this location.

Dr Bury is a very through optometrist! The staff is so nice and I love working with them! If there is ever anything wrong with my glasses or contacts they are great about solving it at no or very little cost to me! They are also great at helping me choose the right frames for my face. Love coming to them!

We had a wonderful experience with the staff. Special shout out to Ela! She was very friendly, helpful, and patient. We came to pick up our eyeglasses and had a problem with the frame because the temples were quite tight. She patiently helped us adjust them multiple times and was always enthusiastic. We will definitely visit this store again!

I have been coming in to see Dr. Bury for over 20 years. He has been a great optometrist and does a thorough exam. I highly recommend if you are looking for an exceptional eye doctor. I would not go anywhere else.
