Woodinville Family Eyecare - Dr Kevin Y Hirano, OD

I've been seeing Dr. Zheng since she started working at Woodinville Family Eyecare. She is professional, kind, and good at what she does. My lenses and glasses always fit so well. She goes over all the options with me, and explains everything so I have a good understanding of my eye health. This clinic offers a retinal scan option that lets you avoid dilation if you have pretty normal eyes, which I appreciate. I can compare photos of my eyes to previous scans to see if there's any glaucoma or other issues building up. Front desk is very nice; Diane is professional and great at what she does. Overall, a very well run clinic! I come here and personally pay out of pocket because the service is good.

Dr. Hirano and his staff have gone above and beyond to care for me as a patient! Prompt to return calls, answer all questions, help with any issues at all times! Personable, red carpet care. THANK YOU for all you do for me and those I have referred!

I brought my twins in to see Dr. Hirano before Covid hit and then recently had him check out my teenager as well. I was honestly wondering how eye exams were going to be performed safely in such close contact. I was very happy with the changes the office made to keep their clients safe. Dr. Hirano was so personable and patient with my talkative 11 year olds and just as easy to talk to for my teenager. I highly recommend Dr. Hirano. He is a fantastic doctor, with great bedside manner. He explains everything in easy to understand language. His staff is kind, efficient and professional. The convenience of Costco is just the cherry on top.

I've been coming here for over 5 years. Dr Hirano is very thorough and goes the extra mile for his patients. I have seen many of the other providers in this clinic and they have all been excellent. He does a good job choosing his staff and the receptionists are also so kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

Dr. Hirano and his associates are so kind, helpful, and thorough. My prescriptions are always spot on. The assistants were also so patient with my daughter as she tried to overcome her fear of putting contacts in her eyes. They tried everything and kept smiling! Thank you Dr. Hirano and associates!!

Dr. Hirano and staff are friendly, caring, and very knowledgeable. Their professionalism exceeds all my previous Optometry experiences. I was promptly seen at my appointment time and Dr. Hirano explained different options for my eye care very thoroughly and answered whatever questions I had. I highly recommend Woodinville Family Eyecare.

I will give this place 3 stars because the owner Kevin is wonderful all around and made a bad situation the best he could. Nothing bad to say about him and I think he is a great person and great at what he does. Now for Jessica Zheng and the two older office ladies working the day of my exam, all 3 were rude. The exam with Dr. Zheng was rushed, she was rude, and on top of this, gave me the wrong prescription. I told her I couldn't see and she still sent me on my way with contacts that were not right for me. When I came back in to explain my experience and ask for a full refund, she was beyond rude once again, snapped at me multiple times while trying to express my feelings and even after telling her I am not one to normally speak up. She told me she gave me a perfect exam, that they didn't give refunds, and there was nothing she could do or anyone there. I told her I would like to talk with the owner who I was told by the front desk woman (Alex I believe, who was wonderful to speak with) would set me up with. Zheng stated again that was not possible, raising her voice and then started crying and told me to go sit outside. It was a bizarre situation and I absolutely do not recommend her to any of my family, friends, or you. As Alex stated would happen, Kevin did make it right. He changed my mind about Woodinville Family Eye Care only for the fact that him and Alex are great people. Aside from the two of them, I do not recommend any of the others. Stay away from Zheng.

I am extremely nearsighted and Kevin provided contact lenses that were perfect . He worked around stigmatism and was able to drive well. Then I developed a wet macular degeneration in my dominant eye. Amazingly he was able to come up with prescription using my peripheral vision! Before that I could only see the largest E. I have been to Jevin for many years. He is friendly, competent, and very intelligent. Now my husband goes to him. He discovered a bubble that diminished his vision. He recommended another doctor who would remove that membrane behind the cataract lenses. In so many ways he functions like Opthalmogist. Cataract surgeon denied any link to surgery to this bubble. Kevin said it's a common side effect of cataract surgery. I recommend Dr Hirano without any hesitation. Price is reasonable.
