In the dozen years or so that I've seen Dr. Clarke, I've come to think of him as a bit of an educator. He takes a great deal of joy in answering questions and explaining scans and tests to patients. I look forward to seeing him, because he remembers things I tell him and asks after my family while providing an excellent service. He's an extremely kind professional. The schedulers in the reception area have always been super helpful in sending me out the door with the paperwork my insurance requires. I would 100% recommend Dr. Clarke and his office staff to anyone looking for quality eye care in Beckley.

Dr Clark is a wonderful Dr but one of his staff members was very rude I payed 530.00 for glasses and when I went to pick them up up they were to big they would fall off my face she tried to adjust them and it helped a little bit but every time I hung my head down they would fall off soi stopped wearing them afraid they would get broke or I would lose them 4 days later I took them back and told her they fall off my face her response was it's like a pair of tennis shoes you wear them and get them dirty and you can't take them back well I payed 530.00 for glasses and had them four days I didn't want a new pair I just wanted the ones I bought to fit she finally took them in the back and did some more adjustments and they were better but not right a girl in line behind me had two pairs that didn't fit and payed extra for scratch resistant and she said two week later they were scratched really bad. Will never go back there I got glasses on line for a fraction of what I payed 530.00 for and fit much better without any adjustments

Staff is friendly and courteous. They text reminders for appointments which is great for me. Not only once but 3 times. 1st about a week out, 2nd 3 days, 3rd day of. They don't overbook either. If your appointment is at 1015 you're the only person in the lobby. Great experience.

I have never experienced a more friendly and professional staff! The ladies at the front desks are so sweet and kind. Each time I personally have gotten glasses they are quick to assist and provide any feedback you ask for! My 4 year old daughter recently had her eyes examined and doctor clarke, as well as his assistants, are truly the kindest and have immense patience for little ones! I will never go anywhere else!

Great service again this year! Dr Clarke is exceptional. Great exam, good discussion on options. It's a "happy" office with a very comfortable feel. Hard pressed to think of ever having a better optometry experience. I particularly feel better about my eye health with his explanation of the exam results. Priceless.

Very professional and friendly staff! The doctor is very descriptive and takes time to explain things. He also spends time assessing you. No "in&out" service there! The office is also very clean. It has comfortable lighting, easing the anxiety of someone like myself who dislikes for anyone/anything near my eyes. It's a very calming and welcoming atmosphere.
