I had an appointment a few months ago. I appreciate the reminders, thank you. My appointment was with Dr Cindy. She is fantastic! I checked in & the staff was very pleasant. The person that helped me pick out my glasses and adjusted them for me, was the same person, Margo. She is absolutely wonderful, helpful, polite, & friendly.
Had an appointment at 9, dr finally came in at 10, when I confronted him about my time being just as valuable as his, he said I could reschedule, when I informed him, if I did it wouldn't be here, he opened the door and said you're welcome to leave. So I did exactly that. Very unprofessional and I will make sure everyone I know is aware. There is no excuse for making someone wait an hour for an eye examination. And no apologies were given. Very poor way to conduct business
After our family's long time optometrist retired, we were happy to find a location for our family of six. However, we will not be going back! After visiting in January of this year, I purchased glasses as a result of my exam. Despite having insurance, my glasses cost was over $440. Nine months later We receive a notice that we are being turned into collections for an additional $110. When I called about this, I was told they entered an improper billing code and didn't charge us enough. I argued and I don't see how you can raise the price on something nine months later when you are the one admitting you made the error. Additionally, my glasses were never adjusted properly and won't stay on. Needless to say, we found this practice highly questionable and will not go back.
Better hope you don't need a recheck they charge for it. I paid an additional 40 for recheck, they changed nothing and I still can't see through my new glasses. Then, on top of my insurance I paid 40 for an eye mapping that I have no clue what it did for me. So I guess I have to go to another place to get an eye exam I can use and pay out of pocket since they stole my insurance. Very disappointed and will not go back or recommend.
I have raved and raved about this place and the amount of people I've sent here is insane. So, even after getting my glasses and not being able to see out of them at all, I never said a bad thing about this place and after my glasses taking 6 weeks to get, not the 2 weeks they said. First, they scheduled my appointment, then called and said the Dr wouldn't be in that day. So they rescheduled which was a month away, mind you I'm diabetic and they think that's why my glasses weren't right, uncontrolled sugar. So I told the Dr I will not eat or drink sugar for 6 weeks so we get an accurate answer. It's been 3 months with no sugar or anything for this appointment that's from 3/13 - today 4/7/25. I have been sent more confirming texts than I've ever seen, confirmed them all. Get to the appt, the receptionist who would never ever represent my company the way she does this one. She could not have cared less, basically I don't know what to tell you, whoever scheduled you made your appointment in Morgantown. I'm not dumb, she can tell who booked it. I've never gone to Morgantown for an eye appt. So, I wait all this time, and they schedule it at the wrong place 30 minutes away during work hours. So after I told her about my diabetes and that the Dr had me not eating sugar and wanted to see how my eyes are, she did not care about that either, she said I can get you in April 27 at 10:30, 1:30 l, 20 more days!!!! I said just forget it, I don't need it. So, let me be very clear, you did not lose this patient because of the Doctor or Chase, you lost this patient and her wife because of the front desk. No empathy, no trying to fit me in because let's be very clear this was not my mistake and in my business when we make a mistake we fix it right away especially when diabetics and eyes are not something you mess with but it's okay, there are many eye drs that want a patient that has insurance, refers a ton of people, that raves with word of mouth and that has expensive taste that ordered glasses from you not online.
So, when looking into this. My name is Tiffany. I had an appt on 4.7.25 at 11. Made at the wrong place and the person that didn't care at all about your patients was the one sitting on the left when facing the desk. So, you can go back, I left a 5 star review that went into detail of how great this place was in October or November, so this is a truthful review. Picture attached of me leaving while writing this review of your employee tries to say this didn't happen. Look at the camera. NOT ONE SINGLE SMILE. I'll make it easy. You will want to go to 10:56 of the footage, you won't have to watch hours and hours. It's right there!
Thanks Dr and Chase!!!! I hope you don't lose more patients due to these reasons. If you guys go somewhere else to work call me!

I felt like a huge inconvenience being there for an appointment. I knew I needed reading type glasses, but Spectrum wanted to rush me out the door. I literally had to ask (almost beg) to see frames...
I seem to always have great service at this office in Bridgeport!!! They have the best doctors. They are always looking out for my needs I am a type 2 diabetic and I feel I receive the best care here. They take the time to answer my questions. I have never felt rushed. The techs that help you pick out frames also are very good!!! Margo is one the best she also takes the time to help you and is very good with the size of the frame to your face and colors!! Thank you all !!
My first experience with Spectrum Optical was great! Reception area was clean and welcoming. The ladies who checked me in were friendly and efficient. The person who did my in-depth intake was very good. Dr. Alpino was fantastic. He educated me on details about my vision and contact lenses that no one had ever taken the time to educate me on. He was knowledgeable and informative without slowing the process down. Check-out was a breeze as well. Highly recommend!
