On my most recent annual visit with Dr. Schumacher, I continue to be impressed with his extensive knowledge of the various types of contact lens and the fitting process. If you're contemplating wearing lens and want the latest and best advice and care, he's definitely the person to see. I'm also impressed with other doctors at this facility having seen some of them before being referred to Dr. Schumacher as their contact lens specialist.
I would also like to add that this LensCrafters facility gives outstanding customer service in all their departments. The day of my appointment happened to be a particularly busy day with the employees having the added weight of being short staffed due to an illness. But even with this added stress the staff remained very personable and efficient. Although all the employees rose to the occasion, one employee named Sherri deserves special recognition. Somehow Sherri managed to take care of several customers at once, me being one of them, with out rushing me or skipping any important details. This is true employee dedication.
I wholeheartedly recommend the Steinmart Plaza LensCrafters for all your optical needs. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Dr. Scott Schumacher is the best optometrist that I have had the privilege to meet. He has a wonderful bedside/chairside manner, and clearly explains eye health and any vision concerns so that we are informed and able to make an educated decision about our eye care. This was my first visit to this vision care facility. Doctor Scott was very detailed in explaining the health of my eyes and the several options for contact lenses. This was the best optical exam and consultation that I've ever had. I'm 63 and have worn contacts for 45 years. Would recommend 10/10!

I drive out of my way to come to this LensCrafters location even though there are two others closer to me. Dr. Schumacher is the best: explains things clearly yet is cheerful and funny. I will work around my own schedule just to see him. The assistant manager also helped me get a year supply of contacts and made sure I got all the discounts possible. I tell everyone to specifically come to this LensCrafters.

I had to make a second appointment to get things adjusted with the sample contacts, I got from LensCrafters. They got in me in that day of, which was great. Once I arrived, The "doctors team" that checks you in, said I need to have the contacts in, and I said I don't because they were a trial, I only had a week worth, and she immediately says I need to reschedule you...As I'm slightly amazed no one told me I needed them in, and yet I got the contacts from them...again it was a free sample trail...I was upset with her immediately jumping to having to reschedule me? Even if she rescheduled me the situation wouldn't change. As I pushed for common sense in the situation, she finally came around to get me a sample pair to put in for the doctor.
The eye doctor was good to me and helped me navigate getting contacts for the first time. Everything else was fine. It's just where is the advocate to help you vs helping you to the door.
