I never leave reviews and I really hate to leave a negative one. I'll start by saying the medical staff was wonderful and I truly liked the nurse and the doctor. However, the receptionist with the long blonde wavy hair was incredibly rude. I waited for over an hour, and when I politely asked about the delay, she responded with attitude instead of kindness or understanding. Because of the long wait and the receptionist's behavior, I don't plan on returning. It just shows how important that first impression at the front desk really is.
I had a fantastic experience with Eye Physician Associates, Dr. Bjerregaard, MD. I couldn't be more pleased with the level of care I received. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and professional. Dr. Bjerregaard took the time to thoroughly explain everything during each surgical pre and post exam and made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire surgical process. Dr. Bjerregaard is incredibly knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and I never felt rushed or overlooked. I highly recommend Dr. Bjerregaard and his practice to anyone looking for attentive, high-quality surgical eye care.
Doctor assistant no experience don't know what she is doing scratch my eye during test, and prepare to wait half an hour to an hour waiting will never go there again
Dr Amahdi is wonderful and thorough. But the reception needs a whole new attitude adjustment . When trying to explain that I have no copay, Amy rudely interrupted me with the comment "I am well aware of how it works I can see it right here on my screen, in a not so nice tone of voice. I explained that my secondary insurance picks up the copay. Her reply was once again rudely well we will send you a statement if it is not paid. I also tried to explain that on my last visit here. There was no copay because of the secondary insurance . Copay is not the issue here. Attitude is though. If I could find another place to go close to home I would.
I just want to begin by saying that I don't really like to write reviews, but in this case I'll make an exception.
I have been a patient of Eye Physician Associates for 28 years. Recently, I was given a new medication for my glaucoma. After just a little over day of using it, I had a severe reaction to the medication. My eyes were swollen, watering, itching and burning, and the whites of my eyes were blood red. It was very painful.
This happened on a weekend, so I contacted the office just after they opened on Monday morning and explained to them what was happening and that I needed to talk with my eye doctor as soon as possible. After 2 hours of waiting, I contacted them again and I had them resend the message to my doctor and mark it as "urgent". I did not receive a call, so after another 1 1/2 hours of waiting I contacted them again and made an appointment with another doctor so I could begin to get my issues resolved.
After meeting with that doctor, he gave me a steroid to help heal my eyes. He also said he was going to email my regular eye doctor and explain to her what was happening and tell her to call me right away so she and I could discuss a plan of action.
It's been a week now, and still no call! I can deal with the reaction to the medication, but I can't deal with my doctor (or an assistant) not calling me back! That's totally unacceptable!
0/5. After receiving an emergent eye procedure while in office for a routine exam, I was billed $350 3 months later with options only to mail a check in or submit credit card information on paper. I left numerous voicemails on their billing line with no call back. Today, I finally reached someone in office who alerted me my bill was $500 (no late fees, just increased prices?). This place is terrible. Do not go here unless you like poor book keeping and not knowing where your money is going.
My Dr. (Hirsch) said someone from the surgery center would call me to schedule a laser procedure. After a week of no call I called and left 3 messages, and one email over a 3 week period with EPA and never got a call back. Just now I was told to hold on and then my call was terminated. At this point I'm angry and stressed besides having compromised vision. How hard is it to schedule a simple appointment?!
I'd suggest trying the surgery yourself than asking for Dr. Hirsh help. That way the only yelling you will hear will be from you and not the Dr. too.
I believe this is the first negative review I'm writing in over 100 reviews and for good reason. Dr. Hirsh thought it was appropriate it yell at my 60+ mom because she asked why she had to wait 90 MINUTES before she could even been seen.
Then when she did have Dr. Hirsh's time he did nothing but complain and belittle her. Who's the professional here? Do you expect to wait 90 minutes and then be treated like you are causing a problem? Have some respect man. Everyone has bad days but try to be a professional at work.
Due to your disrespect to my mom and your customer, I'm leaving this review and hope it helps you try to be a little nicer today than you were yesterday.
