Shopko Optical

One star for actually providing a service, multiple stars off for the incredibly rude service from one of the employees. Every question I asked was a complete inconvenience for this individual. The other employees, a woman and a man were incredibly polite and kind. However this on lady was uncomfortable to communicate with, and I even saw her be rude and talk down to an older customer who needed an adjustment with her glasses last week. Good service is hard to find. November 2nd update: My wife and daughter are currently sitting in their car in the parking lot to pickup their glasses. My wife called yesterday around 3 pm. I spoke with Kyle. He said no appointment was needed and I said we would come up during business hours tomorrow /Saturday to pick up the glasses...they are already paid for and ready to be picked up - no appointment is needed. We live 40 minutes away, so my wife would have obviously made an appointment if I had to. They do not have appointments available online and won't pick up the phone so they can't make an appointment. Before heading out this morning I told my wife not to worry, as the experience couldn't get any worse than last time. Clearly I was wrong.

Shopko Optical is a great place to get glasses or contacts! Danni helped me order my contacts and did some of my exam. She was very nice and made my appointment go so smoothly. I would definitely recommend going to Shopko Optical!

From the warm greeting upon entering this fine establishment by Danni (she made it seem like I've known her for years! A true asset to this property) to the quick but detailed diagnosis by Dr. Adam's, everything was top notch and made easy. I can say with 110% confidence, this will be my go to property for all optical needs for the foreseeable future! Thanks Portage team! Im sure I'll see you all again soon.

First appointment was canceled while I was on my way to appointment after leaving work early because they double booked. Rescheduled for "the only available appointment the whole next week" so I again left work early to get there and when I got there, the receptionist told me I was scheduled the next day. NOPE! It was for today. The women working there just handed me off without any apology or anything and a very nice gentleman ended up helping me and fit me in anyways and did a very good job. Oh and by the way, while I was waiting to see the doctor, I heard the receptionist booking appointments for all sorts of times this week. I really hope they do some better training with the original person I spoke to. Clearly, he gave out a lot of wrong information.

Staff was super helpful and friendly. They were able to adjust my glasses frames that I sat on for me same day! Ana was super helpful and kind.

There was a mix up on their end in the scheduling thus I showed up when I was supposed to but was unable to get my appointment done that day and a reschedule needed to be done but once the appointment was able to be done the staff were all friendly and process went smoothly. Breazy did a fantastic job walking me through what was a new process for me since it was all done digitally.

Galena was the best!! She was so helpful with our needy situation, we needed our contacts in short period of time for a concert my daughter is attending and ofcourse wants to be able to see the stage. It would take 3 to 5 days to get them, not enough time. So Galena came up with the idea of checking on some samples she had in back to get us through Friday night at the Concert. Galena is a hero in my Family tonight. Customer service at its finest. Thank you Galena, Gold Star!!!

Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Dr. Adams listened and explained things well. I would recommend Portage Shopko Optical to all.
