I went to Eye Care Specialists in West Allis ...turned out to be a five-star appointment !! Starting with the front desk, with Laura, polite ,professional knowledgeable... and then Leigh who actually did the check up on me...again very thorough,very professional... and then Kathy who did the dilation for me, another professional on the job.. super sweet..then Dr. Rhodes great doctor! great bedside manner.. very comfortable with him..and Amber his assistant logging all the notes from the Dr.Rhodes...super professional... I can't say enough about what a nice thorough examination I got ! these people take their job seriously and actually care ... 5's...!!

Dr.Rhode is one fantastic doctor. He is very friendly,and does a thorough job. He did a yag treatment on my eye and now I can see very clearly. Thank you Dr.Rhode. The staff were great too,busy but all nice people there..

Most treatments are covered by insurance check with your insurance. I had a pain in one eye my vision blurred. I received a referral and visited one of the M.D. opthalmologist. A piece of cholesterol from a artery broke off and was in an eye vein, made vision blurred, a medication was injected and I was seeing better with my eyes.

My Mom has been a patient of Dr. Ferguson for many years. He is fantastic but not sure if the wait times are worth it. They severely overbook themselves. 1st waiting is generally 40-90 minute wait time. Then nursing staff to do testing. Moved to next waiting room. Wait another 15-30 minutes for exam room. Then wait again for another 15-30 minutes. 9am app- hope to get out by noon. Front staff are not friendly.

Best Care Ever! Had my first cataract surgery today! Left eye will be done next week. Thank you Dr. Ferguson & Eye Care Specialists!

HORRIBLE WAITING TIME. I arrived 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. They called me in 57 minutes later (42 minutes past my appointment time.) I was examined by a nurse and then had to wait in another waiting room 15 minutes before being called to be put in another exam room (looks identical to the first one.) Then wait another 8 minutes for the doctor. The doctor gave me a new plan that I hope is more effective. I will update after I try it. February 2025 update: after expressing my dismay at receiving a previous prescription for eye drops that cost me $70/month from my previous doctor, this doctor assured me that he doesn't prescribe that medication. He then proceeded to prescribe eye drops that ended up costing $145 for a month's supply. March 2025 update: I called them back a month later for more detailed instructions for my prescriptions. They sent me to VM and never called me back. When I called back again, I had to rely on the receptionist and she changed the instructions halfway through the phone call. Not a good place.

My first cataract surgery was great! Everyone was very nice, professional, explained everything. I would give it a 5 star review of 5! Second surgery was awful! Busy and everyone was in a hurry. Was definity like an assembly line. Rush us in, spoke to us quickly for paperwork etc., IV was awful!!! After saying I have great veins! Last week barely felt it. Rushing maybe? Man next to me was having a bad IV time too. Then waited a bit. Taken in and no one said what they were doing. Twilight sleep was less effective than last time..saw alot. Tape was "ripped off!' by two nurses..I even said " gee ladies!" Quickly off Gurnee into chair, given a juice box, then rushed out the door to my ride even though I said I needed a minute I was so groggy!! Nurse didn't even pause a second. Very unhappy!! I'm thankful I don't have 3 eyes!! This was at wauwatosa center.

The Drs and the Med assistant are great people,It just the front desk need to Learn Hospitality by looking at you,and welcoming you with Dignity like you are a person. Other then that,The Dr was great and so were the Med Techs.
