Your Two Eyes Optometry

I'm very pleased to have found this optometry shop! Great vibe, lovely layout, easy exam, the doc is great. She explained things to me in simple terms but with scientific flair and precision.

The optician is good. The people who speak with you about your glasses frames are very imperfect, to say the least. First, they sold me last summer a frame that could not accommodate progressives, although that is what the doctor ordered and that is certainly what I paid for, at added expense. Then the frame they sold me, which has plastic fishline under the glasses, broke the first day I was in Munich on a Visiting Professorship, so I had to resort to the previous pair of glasses for over three months. Upon my return to Berkeley, in mid-January, I asked them to fix the glasses. They "repaired" them and the repair lasted just about a week. When I took them back soon afterwards, when I was scheduled for a regular eye exam, they said the glasses (less than a year old, by several months) were "too old" to be repaired. I will not return to the glasses frame shop ever again.

Went in to get my eyes examined after many years of not having had any optometry exams. They were very pleasant, listened to everything I had to say, and really took time to figure out what has been going on with my eyes, using various testing methods. Listened when I mentioned other health concerns/issues and took the time to explain how they may or may not be relevant or related. Picking out the frames was easy, and they really helped with cost options, spending time to make sure I could get what I needed for what I could afford. I highly recommend this office.

I've always been apprehensive about going to the optometrist, but Dr Samii and the other assistants took such good care of me. Dr Samii explained every step of the process. So delighted to have found My Two Eyes and I'm excited to go back!

I followed this Dr from Kingsington because I thought he was great, but my most recent visit a few days ago, I found him curt and terse to the point of being rude. He said that he no longer had his business due to COVID, so is working for someone else now. I realize we all have set backs, but visiting this in other people is a sign of weakness and it's annoying and unnecessary.

My eye exam was great. I found out some incredibly useful information about my eyes and glasses. I found the office extremely helpful and went out of their way to help me.

Dr. Samii is the best! She really takes the time to figure out the best solution. And the new space and her staff are top notch.
