I had such a great experience at OPT Optometric in Palm Springs that I had to share it. Dr. Tawil is incredibly thorough and patient -- the kind of person who actually takes the time to explain what's going on with your eyes instead of rushing you through. I've gotten Jacques Marie Mage and Thierry Lasry frames here, and they're honestly some of the best I've ever owned -- beautifully made, super comfortable, and people constantly compliment them. My wife and I have been loyal customers of OPT Optometric since around 2018, starting at their San Francisco location. That's where I got my very first pair of glasses to help with computer work. I worked with Dr. Philip Tawil, who was fantastic at walking me through the first four years of rapidly changing prescription needs. However, the real reason we've remained loyal--and now fly to Palm Springs--is the Optician, Todd Bauer. Todd is an eyewear stylist supreme who consistently upgraded our look and kept us fashionable. He has an incredible eye for picking out glasses like no one else. Choosing a new look can be overwhelming, but Todd makes it easy, relaxed, and fun. It's always a great conversation that ends with another amazing set of eyewear that just feels "right." We were sad to hear Todd was moving to the Palm Springs location, but we were not deterred! Palm Springs is an easy flight from San Francisco, and we now fly down specifically to have him walk us through new frame options. That is how much we trust and respect his opinion. We can't imagine doing it without him and have introduced him to several family members and friends over the years. Like many others leaving reviews, I've been loyal since the SF days, purchasing my first pair in 2017. I was hooked. Since then it's been an annual ritual where I get a new style and can count on Todd to help me look great. These days the ritual has evolved to include a trip to PS. Todd will find glasses that match your vibe and facial features and won't shy away from giving you a strong opinion. Which is great. We all need honesty when it comes to styling. Truly a gem of a place, with gems of humans. No pushyness, just honesty, down to earthness and a lot of laughs.
