I wouldn't recommend this place at all. I've been a regular for more than a year, always paying $90 out of pocket. Dr. Ryan was fantastic, but since he left, things have changed and they showed themselves as not professional at all. I've been waiting for my appointment for so long, and I'm concerned about my eye, but if I knew that the price had increased I would have already scheduled somewhere else long time ago, they increased the price to $120 without any prior notice! The lack of professionalism was really disappointing--I even missed a day of work for an appointment that I ended up having to cancel when I was already there because I didn't have $120 just for an eye pressure checkup. It felt like they didn't care about me as a patient and gave no consideration to informing me about the price change. Unbelievable.
The doctor is really nice and respectful but the receptionists are very very rude. Two weeks ago I came in with my uncle because he needed a translator, the receptionist on the far right was very very rude. She had a very disrespectful tone. Today I came in with my mother because she's been having problems with her eye and she needed to see a doctor immediately. She kept trying to say to reschedule but as customers we have a right to see the doctor if it's urgent. She was so rude and she as shouting at us like we were children. That made me realize she's very prejudice against black people. I noticed how a non black woman came in and she treated her with respect and was very calm but with the black people she's very very racist. Like what did we do to deserve this treatment, it is unacceptable. As employees, you're suppose to give the patient the best experience and not make them feel uncomfortable and less than. This type of treatment will make you lose patients. So it's important to always provide a safe and respectful environment. I let the doctor know and he apologized to me and told me that everyone should be treated the same. So I hope their will be consequences with the receptionist. Also you guys don't be afraid to speak up!
I receive my new pair every year. And I'm full disability. They are pleasant, will answer any concerns, and help to make sure you understand before you go. A large melting pot of clients
If I could give 1/2 a star or less, I would. The "customer" service is HORRIBLE!!! I only went there because my mother goes there.
I made an appointment for my son a month ago. I have Medi-cal. I didn't have his card at the moment, so they told me it was ok and that they could look it up at the time of his appointment. 5 business days before the appointment I receive a call requesting his member number (Wednesday). I happened to be driving, so I told them I would call them back the next day with it. I couldn't find the card, but I called to let them know that I hadn't found it. I was given a number to get a replacement card. GREAT! I called. It was an automated message, I left my information (Friday). Monday, I receive a call from "Advanced" at 5:18pm stating that if I do not give my son's information the next day (Tuesday) they would cancel his appointment. I called right back at 5:27pm, the office was closed. I went home and diligently looked for the card. I found it. Today, Tuesday, I called to give the info. Whomever answered the phone, was sarcastic, answered me with "uh hum" and "yeah" when I told her what I was calling for (to give the info) and that I called the number for a replacement card. When I told her that I didn't think that I would get the card in time for the appointment, she giggled and said, "yeah". She tells me she's looking up my case. She then tells me that with "this" card my son could be seen, but if he needed glasses, we couldn't get them. She said, "That is what you want right, glasses?" Needless to say, I cancelled my son's appointment and mine as well. She didn't try to stop me or even apologize. she just repeated, "Ok, ok." Big question: how did she know what card I had?
If this office didn't want my business, they should have said so a month ago! I could have had another appointment elsewhere. Thank you for wasting my time, but on the bright side, I found his card!! SOP! Advanced Eye & Laser, look into it!! Get on the same page. If you can look up info, then say so. IF YOU CANNOT, DON'T TELL PEOPLE YOU CAN. SOP = Standard Operating Procedure = Policies are good.
I have been coming here for the past few years. It is close to my home and very convenient. Some staff are more professional than others but over all I have had no major issues since being a patient here. I plan to continue coming.
This place is terrible. The service, hours is horrible. The door was locked during business hours an hour before closing, as if to say you're not welcome. Cant browse the frames because they have to unlock each frame to try on, how stupid is that? and their eye staff is at the other shop...stupid stupid place..parking is nooo good. Go somewhere else.
I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
I have been taking my grandma here for 10+ years. Dr. Huynh is phenomenal and always provides excellent treatment. I highly recommend this office for all of your eye care needs.
THIS PERSON IN THE PHOTO IS THE RUDEST EVER!!
