Dr. Shells is exceptionally professional and has a way of making me feel secure and confident in her care. She always demonstrates deep knowledge and expertise. I have been to Dr. Sheils' office several times prior to this visit and everything has always been great. She is very friendly and understanding. Unfortunately, this time my experience was not as good! I arrived about 15 minutes early and ended up waiting about 45 minutes before they took me into a room. A technician checked my eyes and then after a wait moved me into another room. At that time I had to wait 30-45 minutes more before the doctor came in. There was NO communication from the staff explaining why the delay, which I thought was totally unacceptable. In fact if she hadn't come in when she did I was getting ready to just leave the office and forget about the appointment. I can understand some delays, but it its not right to just keep patients waiting with no explanation.

Due to the difficult communication with the staff and difficult parking with another eye-care center, I switched to Dr. Sheils for a better experience. I was pleased with my decision since she was easier to talk to and seemed to be more knowledgeable than my previous ophthalmologist.

Wait times are unacceptably long. One hour, plus. They get you in quickly to do a couple of eye tests, then sit you in a room that is probably 4 X 12, with seats stacked very close together. They had me sitting there for over an hour. It appears they don't consider my time to be valuable. Due to the lengthy wait time, I had to leave before getting to see her. They really need to do a better job at scheduling patients.
