I have been going to Dr. Chris Gualtieri for my annual eye exams for about 15 years, and I have consistently received excellent care.
Dr. Gualtieri is very personable, easy to talk with, and extremely knowledgeable. He always takes the time to explain things clearly and makes each visit feel comfortable and unrushed.
A few months ago, I had an urgent eye issue and needed to be seen quickly. Dr. Gualtieri made sure to fit me in the same day and took great care of my needs. There was even some uncertainty around my insurance coverage at the time, and he simply said to come in so he could evaluate my eye and that everything else could be sorted out afterward. That level of care and professionalism meant a great deal to me.
If you are looking for a talented, compassionate, and highly skilled eye doctor and ophthalmologist, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Gualtieri without hesitation.

When my eye doctor suggested that cataracts were adversely affecting my daily life, I was concerned about the procedure. With her encouragement we submitted referral forms to my insurance and Dr. Gualtieri was the assigned ophthalmologist. I was very nervous at my first appointment and not sure if this was the right decision. After the second appointment and Dr. Gualtieri thorough examination and preparation process I was feeling better. By the day of surgery for my first eye, I was more than confident that I had made the right decision. The transformation in my eyesight was amazing. I couldn't wait to complete the process for the other eye. Dr. Gualtieri is extremely professional, skilled, knowledgeable and gave me confidence to proceed then enjoy improved vision and a sense of well-being that I didn't know I was missing. In addition, his office staff are professional, well organized, kind and encouraging. I am supporting my husband as he takes the steps to improve his vision. I highly recommend Dr. Gualtieri if cataracts are robbing your vision and quality of life. Being one of his patients is more than dealing with cataracts, it is life changing in the most positive way possible. Thank you Dr. Gualtieri!

Got custom Lasik with Dr Gualtieri a couple weeks ago. He was kind, funny and patient. He took the time to review the procedure step by step with me and answer all my many questions. The surgery was done at Sharp Memorial, which was very clean and modern. The team was extremely professional and made me feel comfortable and taken care of the entire time. I absolutely love my new, perfect eye sight! Eyes were pretty dry after the first week, which he advised would happen. After 2 weeks the dryness is mostly gone. Can't recommend enough!

The doctor was fine, the exam was fast and I didn't get much of an impression. The optical office (a separate department) is really special. I've been there a number of times and sent several friends there for frames and lenses. They have a good selection of frames, and the prices are fantastic, equal to or better than Costco: and wonderful customer service from the optician.
Bad behavior and customer service from the front desk person, rude and scolding. Not wearing her mask properly at the height of the pandemic. Not a good face for a pretty great optical place. That's what cost a star on this review.

I've been a patient of Dr. Gualtieri for several years, he has always been professional and efficient. The office is clean, there is parking for patients and you don't feel like you are at a run of the mill ophthalmologist office. I brought my grandfather to see Dr Gualtieri for cataract surgery as well, after several bad experiences with another local physician. My grandfather has vision loss in one eye due to glaucoma and Dr. Gualtieri and was able to perform cataract surgery allowing him to have some improved vision and improve his quality of life. My grandfather was treated very poorly at another physicians office, but at Dr. Gualteiri he was well taken care of from the front desk to the optical technician.
