Dr Nguyen is by far the best optometrist I've been to! I've been coming to Clairemont Optometry for years and always have had a good experience with him. He's very knowledgeable and always super nice.
He also knows what he is doing and explains everything in detail if you ask.
I will say the front desk staff at the new location could be a little better. They are nice but there's been a few times where I ask something about my account or pricing etc and they seem like they just don't want to check and guess/estimate instead until I ask them again for the definitive information. That's a bit annoying but wouldn't make me not return.
Overall Dr.B is pleasant, knowledgeable and thorough!

This was the first time I have visited this optometrist .I went here because my sister started going there after a coworker recommended it. I am so glad I did. Dr Nguyen is amazing , he was very friendly and knowledgeable as is the rest of his staff. Derrick at the front desk whom is always greeting everyone with a smile making me feel welcomed both times I've came in, was the one who did all my initial tests and was very helpful when picking up my glasses. Making sure they didn't need any adjustments. I wish I caught the name of the young lady who helped me pick up my glasses. She was very patient with me as I feel I took a while to choose, but she helped me pick out my two pairs of glasses and was very kind thank you. I will definitely be going back and I really recommend them.

I had such a great experience with Dr. Nguyen and his staff. The appointment was actually fun! Everyone was friendly, upbeat, and really attentive. I have keratoconus and fully expected to be pushed toward contacts, but Dr. Nguyen really listened to what I wanted and was able to get me into a pair of glasses instead, which I'm thrilled about.
The patient care and attention to detail were awesome, and the staff made the whole visit super easy and comfortable. Dr. Nguyen also took the time to explain my hereditary condition and gave me advice on what to watch for with my 3 year old in the future, which I really appreciated as a parent.
Highly recommend this office, great care, great people, and I walked out with exactly what I wanted.

I have visited this treatment center 2 times total. The first time I came was for a eye check appointment. The employees were super nice, helpful, and provided great service. Dr. Nguyen is great and provided me with adequate information. He explained the issues I had and how to prevent/improve my condition. Overall, the service was amazing and I look forward to further appointments! (Shout out to the wonderful Asian lady employee who assisted me the most!).

I have been coming to Clairemont Optometry for many years. Dr Nguyen really puts a lot of effort into making sure I have the best corrective lenses possible for my job, hobbies, and leisure activities. He is very accommodating and wants to make sure I get the most out of my visits and that's really what keeps me coming back year after year. I don't feel like I am just getting shuffled through the office. I would also like to give a honorable mention to Camila, who helped me pick out my new glasses today and took care of my billing/insurance. She is very kind and has a lovely disposition and was very patient with me. I have been able to build trust over the years with Dr. Nguyen and have confidence in him. Unless something changes I will always be satisfied coming here.

Hands down the best Optometry Office! Dr. Nguyen and his staff treat you like family and always make sure to address all your eye concerns. They give you the best care possible and are very knowledgeable and helpful with picking out your frames and lenses. They give you that one on one attention you want in finding glasses. Dr. Nguyen really listens to you and goes above and beyond to give you the best options and plan of care. They're reasonable and competitive in prices with or without insurance. We are also very happy with our children's Ortho-K treatment! Truly helps them not need to use glasses or contacts and slows their myopia progression. Daf, Camilla, and Bella are really amazing ladies and so helpful to our family. We enjoy and appreciate Clairemont Optometry. It's always a good time when going in for our appointments. Dr. Nguyen, Derrick, and all the lovely ladies are so welcoming! As a nurse it's always tough to attend my appointments. As the last appointment of the day I did not feel rushed and they are incredibly thorough! The nurses carefully helped me through the tests even though my eyes kept blinking. They are so patient and helpful! I forgot the name of the last nurse but she was nice enough to help me find glasses that would suit me best! 10/10 would recommend this place to my family and friends!

My son and I had a great experience at this optometry office. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel very welcome. Check-in was quick, and we were seen within just a few minutes. Everyone was kind, attentive, and made the visit easy and comfortable. I had run out of my daily contact lenses, and they were kind enough to send me home with some, which I really appreciated. We will definitely be coming back and would love for this to be our regular eye care office.
