I wanted to share my experience for anyone with a more complex or unique prescription.
While Dr Victoria does an amazing job to get your prescription, her staff supporting her fails to continue the care.
After my appointment, I was told that trial lenses would be sent and that there would be follow-up regarding next steps. Unfortunately, over two weeks passed without any follow-up or delivery of the trials, despite my expectation that this was part of the care plan discussed. This is separate from my first appointment where they gave me the same prescription for both eyes.
For patients with specialized prescriptions, timely communication and follow-through are essential. In my case, the lack of follow-up caused unnecessary delays and discomfort.
While the staff was polite during the appointment itself, I did not feel this practice was equipped--either from a capacity or process standpoint--to properly manage a more complex vision case. I would encourage patients with unique prescriptions to confirm follow-up protocols in advance or consider a provider who specializes in advanced fittings.
Dr. Christopher Crosby is a doctor who thinks he knows it all... but doesn't !!6 months ago I made an appointment to have 3 fibromas on my wrist removed, they were in a cluster. I watched the entire procedure and after suturing the incision I noticed a large lump remaining. I told him there was still swelling in one area... his answer was a simple, it's swollen from the lidocaine. I've had many fibromas removed and I knew it was not swelling !!10 days I went to have my sutures removed by his nurse, I told her that I believed there was one that was not removed, her answer was the same...it's swollen !!1 month went by and the lump was more than obvious, I called to get an appointment for him to remove it. Upon my arrival he asked what he could help me with!? I said YES, you can remove the 3rd lump you missed on the first procedure!! He positively refused to do so but said he'd refer me to someone who would ! What the hell did that mean!?!?I told him I'm not leaving until it's removed, his answer was, I'm personally not going to remove it because I don't think I'll ever make you happy he VERY hesitantly said he was going against everything he believed in , and he did remove it!!! I have documented all the pictures from the very beginning. I was going to complain to Medicare/UHC, but chose not to. So basically Medicare got billed 2 times for what should have been ONE procedure.
My advice....choose another dermatologist
Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with vision care, but I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Victoria Vuong Nguyen as she is just incredible. I get very nervous seeing doctors, but she is incredibly friendly, nice, makes you feel so comfortable as if you were being seen by a friend. She always listens to my concerns and has great, thorough responses to my questions. Such a fantastic doctor. When my eye exam is complete, Sean is always ready with my prescription already in front of him, and he is extremely helpful with finding the best glasses for my face. He wants to make sure you are completely satisfied. I think I am so lucky to have found them and I want to ensure that they (and others) know how much their work is appreciated.
This is a great place, once you get your referral they actually call you to book your appointment and not only that it's very prompt. Also they found four growths that needed to come off. I am so grateful for this care.
I have been a patient of "Dr. Victoria Vuong" at Coastal Skin and Eye Institute for over a year. After seeing several other Optometrists and Ophthalmologists for a complicated vision problem and eye infection, Dr. Vuong took the necessary time to figure it out and help me. Her professionalism, patience and concern were unparalleled . Her knowledge in differing aspects of optometry and ophthalmology were remarkable in the diagnosis and direction of my care. I couldn't be more pleased or complimentary regarding my outcome.
I highly recommend Dr. Vuong for any eye care needs you may encounter.
Thank you Dr. Vuong.
Kira is amazing and so helpful. She is kind and sympathetic along with a wealth of knowledge which she graciously shares.
Was very happy with the dermatologist at coastal skin and eye Institute in Carma Valley. The dermatologist told me exactly what he was doing, and why I felt very comfortable during the procedure to get rid of my basil. Thank you for the good job
The doctors, Physician Assistants, and support staff are great. So many of us have abused our skin with too much sun exposures. What seems like a tiny imperfection can become an out of control skin cancer if not treated. I think I started with this practice in about 2006 and stayed with them. No reservations recommending them, at all. Don't wait!
