Dr. Luna is wonderful! He is very caring and attentive to hus patients. My son, who has special needs, responds very well to Dr. Luna. This says a lot about Dr. Luna's character.

Dr. Luna and his office staff are very personable and efficient in getting my needs met. Dr. Luna is very caring and attentive to my eye care needs which includes vision and dry eyes which create extreme itchiness. He spends a lot of time and never rushes me. I highly recommend Dr. Luna and his office.

Family Eyecare at Scripps Ranch and Dr. Luna is an outstanding eyecare organization. I came to Family Eyecare at Scripps Ranch 5 years ago. I left another large eyecare practice because their service and wait times were accelerating into the categories of unsatisfactory wait times, frustration with their personalized care, and dissatisfaction with the services they offered. I came to Family Eyecare of Scripps Ranch with a particular ailment that no other eyecare practice ever addressed satisfactorily. I have scars on my right eye retina that were cause from a bad case of shingles, which I came down with back in 2000. These scars distorted my right eye vision substantially, especially at night. Dr. Luna, upon my first examination, asked if I had ever heard of Scleral contact lenses? I told him that I hadn't, and he went on to explain how these specialty contact lenses could potentially correct my poor vision in my right eye. I welcomed his recommendation, and we went forward with eye measurements and lens fittings. I took to these contact lenses immediately with tremendous success. I have been wearing Scleral contact lenses for nearly 4 years, and my vision is as good as it was when I was a young child. I highly recommend Family Eyecare at Scripps Ranch and Dr. Luna. This organization is extremely professional, understanding, caring, and friendly. Family Eyecare at Scripps Ranch, in my opinion, is five stars.

I have been a patient of Dr. Luna's for many years, receiving care for my Keratoconus with the use of scleral lenses. These specialized lenses are essential for my condition, and Dr. Luna has consistently gone above and beyond to ensure my vision is the best it can be. His expertise in both Keratoconus and scleral lenses is evident, and he was also incredibly supportive during my recovery from cross-linking surgery. Dr. Luna genuinely cares about his patients, and I highly recommend him as an eye doctor.

I had a great experience with Dr.Luna and had gone there back to back for 2 years for my eye appointment. The front desk staff who helps with appointment, insurance etc need some training on customer service (and how to be nice to people, in general). They need to do better and make their customers feel welcome. edit - not sure how to reply back to Dr.Luna's reply. I did go here 2021/2022 and yes I did get the name of the office correctly. I do have a longer first name but I might be easier to find through my last name. About the front desk staff, I felt my questions to get an appointment were met with front desk staff woman being annoyed that I called? She had acted like that the year before in person too but I chose to ignore it. I have since found a newer eyecare near where I live. Dr. Luna was kind and patient throughout. Wish I could just say the same about the front desk staff.

Dr. Luna is an amazing doctor. During my eye check visit, I felt super comfortable and would like to visit again. However my only complaint is with the front office staff. I was recommended some new pair of glasses, and my eyes were hurting the moment I put them on, and after a couple of hours I felt super uncomfortable and had a headache. I thought to give it a try for 3-4 days on stretch thinking that I would get use to them, but that didn't happen and it wasn't getting easy. I tried many of pair of glasses before and none had this issue since day-1. I called the front office and explained about my issue that the lenses hurt and feel uncomfortable. Looks like they have no concern about this and asked me to try them for 2 weeks. How can someone put on something knowing that it will hurt and never got easy. I would have been ok if it happened before but this is the first time. I am pretty much disappointed with how the front office staff handled that call, despite Dr. Luna being such an amazing doctor! On top of that the lenses and frames cost almost double that we can find online. I was ok with that but the behavior was not justified for! Update: I was immediately approached after that bad call to discuss more about my concern by Dr. Luna's office and scheduled an appointment the very next day. Dr. Luna performed an extensive eye check during my appointment, closely listened to my problems and the issues I had with my lenses. Looks like I wasn't getting used to the prescribed lenses and a new order was placed with all the adjustments needed. I am pretty happy and thankful on how they managed the issue after that mishap.

Dr Luna was very patient and kind during a very thorough exam. My eyes are ridiculously sensitive and are usually not very cooperative with these tests but Dr Luna's approach relaxed me and we got through everything without delay. He took great care to answer all of my questions and accommodate my vestibular issues. The staff was helpful, friendly and professional. I highly recommend this practice!!
