New Optix Optometry

I've been coming here for many years, and I honestly wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff is always kind, patient, and professional. They truly care about their patients and take the time to explain everything clearly. Every visit feels comfortable and welcoming. The eye exams are thorough, and they always make sure I'm happy with my lenses and frames. I especially appreciate how attentive they are when helping me choose the right glasses. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for trustworthy and friendly eye care!

New Optix Optometry is great! They are very focused on customer service. They keep a clean, pleasant and inviting environment. All staff is very friendly. I have been going there for years and have always had great interactions with everyone. It was a pleasure to be seen by doctor Thai and meet her dig Olive this time around. And Andrea helped me with my glasses and was so knowledgeable and friendly. I appreciated all the conversation! I highly recommend them!

New Optix is very accommodating when it comes to scheduling appointments. I rescheduled some 3 or 4 different times! I was there to get new glasses. Got an I exam quickly and was out quickly. New Optix is in a nice building, and the layout inside is nice and up to date. On the scale of New Optix having a boutique feel, I see it as an 8 or so. My United Healthcare vision plan covers up to $200 for a frame, and the least expensive frame that would fit my watermelon sized head was $300 dollars. Add up some more goodies (lenses coatings) and a better lense material and we are now up to the cost of a bottle of Dom Perignon P2 champagne for those familiar with champagne, or a shot of Remy Martin King Louis XIlI (13th) for those familiar with "sipping" a nice Cognac, of which, it is blended with some that are aged 100 years. Anyways, you be the judge of whatever inference noted above and what it means. All in all, I had a good experience. Glasses will be in 2 or so weeks.

Friendly staff and doctors, and neat and calming ambiance with a fish tank and friendly office dogs. Staff makes scheduling appointments easy, including urgent visits for eye scratches that my husband and I experienced. Parking is typically available in the plaza. Appreciate you all New Optix Team!

We are always treated so well by Dr. Tran and his staff at New Optix Kearny Mesa. It is a large store front that is clean, modern, and kid friendly! Staff is always smiling and the whole team is so patient with our children. Dr. Tran is knowledgeable with the best chairside manner. He takes his time to get to know his patients. All of his equipment are up to date. Scheduling is easy with the online feature. Staff gives clear explanation about prices and what our insurance covers. Very happy with our experience and will continue to choose this place for our optical needs.

Been going here for a few years now since their location was previously on Convoy. The facility is nice, equipment is new, and staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I asked for more information on getting lasik, and while they don't do it there, they recommended me to a different place that was excellent. The staff here have always kept it real with me, from the doctors fully explaining whether or not I need to get certain exams or tests, to the other staff explaining my benefits and making sure I was getting the most out of my insurance. Definitely recommend coming here.

I have been to both the San Marcos and Kearny Mesa locations. I used to see Dr. Mike, but our schedules don't always align. However, I have also seen his wife, as well as a few other doctors. Yesterday, I saw Dr. Thai--Amanda--and she was great!!! They are all very professional. The office is clean, and the staff is very compassionate. They were able to get me in ASAP, which I really appreciate. 10 stars! Kristie Saurwein

This is my 2nd time coming to New Optix. My fault, I am the worst.. don't follow my example and get your eyes checked yearly. Lucky my eyes are in good health. My first visit was with Dr. Tran in 2020, and my recent visit was with Dr. Ta. BOTH amazing. Super Knowledgeable, and you can tell they love what they do. I've gone to other drs in the past, and different providers... but New Optix is just the the best experience. Everyone is super friendly, and you can just tell that we are not just a number or a name on list. I'm super introverted, and have a hard time getting out of my comfort zone. But I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in. They were super detailed and knowledgeable, and ready to answer any questions or concerns. Picking out new frames is always fun , and Andrea was super patient with me, super knowledgeable, and I just trusted everyone there, I ended up walking out with 2 fun frames. Will definitely return, sooner than later, especially since my insurance (eyemed) covers yearly exams...Aaaaand they take Care Credit. That's my rant. Thank you!
