This was the best experience. Front the nice lady at the front desk doing my initial tests, to the Optometrist, to the gentleman fitting my glasses. 1st class treatment! They all were upbeat, positive, professional, but were able to laugh and have a sense of humor and nice personality while educating me along the way. Dr. Slikker is an amazing Optometrist and I feel lucky to have found someone that genuinely cares about me. Thank you!

I'm extremely disappointed in the customer service at this particular Costco optometrist's office. I showed up for my appointment on time which was scheduled for 1:50. At 2:10, the doctor came out and proceeded to take another patient in front of me. This patient and I were chatting earlier and she mentioned that she had missed her appointment scheduled for 1:10. Instead of having this woman reschedule her missed appointment, the doctor and the receptionist told me that I would have to "wait my turn " When I asked her as to why I was being skipped over, she was very condescending and told me it was out of her control and that all her patients needed to be seen, even if they showed up late. So, because this woman was late, I was the one penalized. Needless to say, I decided to leave and take my business elsewhere. They didn't care that I had scheduled an appointment and was on time. They didn't bat an eye when I told them I couldn't wait 30 plus minutes past my scheduled appointment due to needing to pick up my child, they never apologized or said anything except, "this is just out of our control " I will go to the Costco in Poway from now on. The optometrist and his staff are polite and respectful.

No longer accept insurance and staff were not listening to me when I tried to explain my wife had a new group ID so maybe the copay should be less than $50. Still have no idea... Also the frames etc are out of network at costco so looking at $200+ for a pair of cheapish prescription glasses, which frankly is

I have been seeing Dr. Slikker for 16 years at the Mission Valley Costco. She is amazing! I don't feel like I'm being sent through an assembly line when I go to see her. She remembers me, she remembers what we talked about in my life at my last appointment. I feel that she really cares about me as a patient. I have seen one other doctor at this location and the time that I have been seeing Dr. Slikker and I do not speak highly of him. I would strongly suggest that you see Dr. Slikker on a regular basis. I always feel that she takes the time to really make sure that my eyes are healthy and that I am getting the proper prescription for my eyeglasses and my contacts.

The receptionists literally do not do their job. I went in to schedule an appointment and got one the next day. When I go in the next day, they say I'm not on the schedule. Once I got the exam, the woman who did it was very friendly. But because they are not part of the vision center, you must ask for your prescription to be transferred to get glasses or contacts (no one mentioned this at the time). I've been calling for WEEKS and have left multiple voicemails to ask them to transfer my prescription so I can order contacts and haven't heard back. It would take 1 minute to call back and confirm they gave the vision center my prescription so I can SEE. Would not recommend going unless you want to deal with incompetent, lazy staff.

Hours of operation shows they are open till 6pm on fridays. Its 2 pm and theyre closed. No info as to why that is.
