This busy spot in Pacific Beach, on Garnet Ave., near Von's, has hosted an optical shop for decades, but San Diego Optical is new to this location. I lost my bifocals recently and walked-in and was welcomed into a brand spanking new store. A few days later I'm wearing the best pair of bifocals I've owned in 29 years . The Doctor is fantastic, Jenny, who does all the scheduling, is super professional and polite and kind. Check out these pictures.

I absolutely love this optical store in San Diego! It's so nice to have a family-run local spot owned by two Irish sisters who genuinely care about their customers. You can feel the warmth and authenticity as soon as you walk in.
The location is super convenient, it's in a plaza where I can take care of multiple errands in one trip. There's plenty of easy parking, which makes the whole experience simple and stress-free.
The store itself is clean, modern, and full of really cool frames. They offer a great variety of styles at different price points, so there are plenty of options to choose from. The staff is friendly, efficient, and attentive without ever making you feel pressured to buy.
What really stood out to me is the owners' experience. Although the PB location is newer, they've spent years in the optometry field, so you feel confident you're in good hands. The quality of both the lenses and frames is excellent.
I'm extremely happy with my experience and fully plan on being a lifelong customer. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for great eyewear and outstanding customer service!

The eye exam was incredibly thorough, and the doctor took the time to walk me through everything and clearly explain my results. The eye exam was thorough, professional, and very comfortable -- the doctor took the time to explain everything clearly and answer all of my questions. I never felt rushed, and it was obvious they truly care about eye health, not just selling glasses.

I can't recommend Dr. Kim and Jennie enough. I needed to get new glasses after my eyes started to regress from lasik. The eye exam was thorough, but quick. Jennie was so helpful and patient while I picked out a pair of frames. She has a great sense for what will look great on you. My next trip in will be for some new contact lenses.
