5 stars!
Dr. Bailey and the entire team at San Diego Vision Therapy are exceptional. They truly listen, care deeply, and connect with their patients in a way I've never experienced before. Dr. Bailey, Dr. Bui, and Tricia are knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated -- I'm so grateful for the life-changing care I've received. Highly recommend to everyone!
I rarely take the time to write reviews but feel compelled to do so for Dr. Bailey and San Diego Optometric Vision Therapy because they are such absolute standouts. Dr. Bailey knows her stuff and she truly CARES--an unfortunate rarity among doctors these days. Within two rounds of vision therapy with Dr. Bailey, my condition was within the normal range--just as Dr. Bailey had predicted. Plus, the staff is welcoming, highly efficient, and effective, and the facility is clean and convenient with state-of-the-art equipment. I could not have asked for a better experience! Highly recommend!!
Can I give them 10 stars?! If you find yourself in the situation where you or your child need vision therapy, your search is over! Dr. Bailey and her staff are highly skilled, professional, personable, kind, joyful, and successful! My son graduated with excitement and a few tears because he was going to miss this wonderful team! We can't thank them enough for their dedication and attention to their patients as people. They care about the little things, and truly make a difference!
Dr. Bailey changed my life. I had trouble with double vision after experiencing a TBI from a hit and run while cycling. Physically I had mostly recovered but I could not return to my favorite activities like tennis and group events due to my vision challenges. I tried so many things at home based on self-help videos and other doctors and was ready to give up when I found SD Optometric Vision Therapy. Dr. Bailey is extremely sharp, personable and figured out the most effective ways to help me lose that cursed double vision. I had many road blocks and she helped me navigate around them not to mention ways to cope with other mental/physical challenges caused by TBI that really had nothing to do with my vision. Then she brought in Dr. Bui who I just love as well. These two have a special place in my heart and my only regret is that I didn't find this practice earlier.
I began vision therapy at San Diego Vision Therapy about 25 weeks ago, with three main goals: reducing my chronic migraines (which plagued me more than 15 days a month), alleviating my double vision, and sharpening my pool-playing skills.
The results have been transformative. My migraines have plummeted from over 15 days per month to just two or three--a change that, on its own, made the time and investment entirely worthwhile. My double vision has improved dramatically; I can now comfortably watch TV with both eyes open, drive safely at night without drifting lanes, and park with precision. When I started, I had to close one eye to watch TV and struggled to judge distances well enough for basic parking.
As for pool, my game has seen a remarkable turnaround. I was once a tournament-level player, but in recent years, I couldn't even compete with an average casual opponent. While I'm not quite back to tournament form, I can now confidently hold my own against casual players.
I highly recommend giving vision therapy a try--it truly worked wonders for me.
Sincerely,
Dennis Rogers, PhD
Vision therapy with Dr. Bailey has been an absolute life changing experience. About one year ago, I was extremely anxious as I was starting to apply for dental school but was struggling constantly with my vision. I experienced discomfort and double vision, lacked depth perception, and struggled with eye turn in both eyes. I was told surgery was my only option to try to correct my problems, which left me wondering if I could continue to pursue my dream of becoming a dentist. However, after a little less than a year of vision therapy with Dr. Bailey, I can see more clearly and consciously control my vision with no pain or discomfort. The change from start to finish has been incredible, from testing below average in the various segments of my eye exams, to now having above average perceptual ability. I'm now beginning my first year of dental school more confident than ever, and couldn't be more grateful to Dr. Bailey for giving me the ability to continue chasing my dreams.

Dr. Bailey is friendly, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable about visual issues. Over the course of my four months of therapy with her, she used a variety of activities to improve my vision and visual skills. Her careful and thoughtful analysis of my symptoms and how to address them, as well as her unfailingly positive attitude and engaging manner, made my therapy fun as well as productive.
Dr. Bailey was exceptional in every aspect of my son's vision therapy. She consistently went above and beyond to tailor each session to his personality and needs. We couldn't be happier with Dr. Bailey and her wonderful staff.
