San Diego Optometry

Today I fell on my face and messed up my frames. The ladies at San Diego Optometry were able to restore my frames to their original shape. They were friendly and knowledgeable. I was so thankful!

These people don't even deserve one star for their service. We wasted nearly $2000 this year for their ortho K lenses which break more often and we end up paying again for replacement. My son's prescription changed due to the delay in ordering a replacement lens. It's been more than a month they charged us but failed to order the lens and we ended up going to other providers because he has no alternative to these lens. Each time I call, they promised to call me back and never did. I'm out on hold for longer time every time I call them and get the same standard response that they will call us to explain. The staff has no clue on when Dr.Shapiro will return to office and they say the other doctors are super occupied and would return our calls after work hours. No calls and no response.

My 97-year old mother needed her sunglasses repaired. We were warmly greeted and glasses promptly repaired. The technician was so thoughtful and caring. She fitted the sunglasses perfectly. Thank you for such lovely service. They have a lovely display of glasses.

Autumn was honest and offered me the special in glasses which saved me money. Plus helped me pick out the right design for my face I also broke my glasses and they fixed the arms for free!

Rachel and Autumn are the best! I was caught in a jam without contacts for a wedding this weekend and they helped me out! I couldn't be more grateful, highly recommend!

Amazing, such great care. I've gone to Dr. Keane for about 2 years now and she takes care of me with the best bedside manner. Great glasses selection and top notch equipment and technology. Amazing place for eye exams.

Such great warm service from everyone. Dr. Keswani has a calm and gentle presence. She gives a very thorough eye exam and really listens to you. I never feel rushed. Autumn really knows her stuff when it comes to finding a frame to fit your face. She takes into consideration what you're looking for in comfort and makes great suggestions. I hadn't planned to purchase glasses but somehow I realized it was a great idea today thanks to Autumns knowledge. So happy to have found this place.

It pains me to write this because i've had really great experiences with the doctors here but I have to leave an updated review regarding the office. I selected frames and felt like my arm was being twisted into a color and of my selected design that I did not like or want. They have patterns on the inside and I was worried it will trigger my migraines, but they assured me they would order the frame selection I wanted and the ones I did not want "as an option" just in case. I went to pick up the frames and the only ones there were the ones I did not want that I was being pushed towards. I tried them on again but I was really unhappy and just wanted the ones I picked. They did offer me to take the frames that I did not want home with me while they order the correct ones, but again I did not want them. I also did not trust that if I took these frames I wouldn't be stuck with them. I was really disappointed that they didn't order the ones I wanted and agreed to wait for those to come in. They told me they would rush order the frames and to give it another week. I gave them two full weeks and have had radio silence so I decided to call and follow up, only to be told the frames I actually wanted are on back order and they aren't sure when I can have them. While I understand this is a problem with their supplier that is out of their hands, I'm extremely disappointed that they did not communicate this to me when they are supposed to be fixing their mistake. They also could not confirm they were rush ordered like they had told me before. I have barely gotten an apology for the mistakes and hold ups and there has been zero offer to make this situation better--no offer to ship the glasses directly to me so I don't have to drive there during my working hours again, no discount, no offer to order an alternative frame that I could have sooner, literally nothing. I also realized I paid for blue light blocking in my last frames and they did not order them, so this whole time I thought I had that protection that I paid for but I have been without. It's safe to say although the doctors here are wonderful and very attentive to their patients, I won't be returning due to the mishaps and poor treatment by office staff I experienced.
