I've been coming to specs optometry for three years now. Never been disappointed once. Whether it was at their little Italy location or South Park, all the staff were kind, attentive and provided with professional advice. This time around I had the pleasure of being helped by Ryan Who walked me through the process of how to utilize my insurance benefits and gave me some great advice on what to pick out. They have an amazing selection of the coolest frames you'll find here in San Diego. Next time you're looking for a great pair of eyeglasses or Shades make sure to stop by specs op. Specs makes going to the optometrist fun. Not only is their selection of eyeglasses so stunning and impressive, their team is genuinely kind and create a happy environment. From the moment you step in, the team makes sure that you are well attended to, and it is evident that they are experts in what they do. Jordan helped me fix a pair of eyeglasses that were far too tight for my head. He was able to efficiently identify where and how they needed adjusting, and he made sure that I was completely satisfied with the fit even if that meant a few additional tweaks to reach perfection. I am so grateful.

the staff and doctors are amazing. they take their time and walk through the exam as well as my copays for the glasses. Their frame selection is top notch. I am actually looking forward to my annual exam now.

I am so happy I found this place. First off, after years of struggling with Costco progressive prescriptions, I finally got high quality lenses and the improvement in vision is remarkable. Further, the costumer service is outstanding. Alyssa patiently and kindly helped me with the new prescriptions, and adjusted the glasses perfectly. Additionally, she went out of her way with not fitting sunglasses I bought elsewhere. She worked her magic and got them fitted! Thank you! I will definitely get my next pair at Specs again.

overpriced and unorganized. waited months for glasses that they said would take 2 weeks and i kept following up daily to no avail then when they were finally "ready" i went in and it wasn't my prescription in the glasses! i disputed the charge because i wasn't willing to wait months for something i paid $500 for then the manager asked me to cancel the dispute and offered me a partial refund then never gave it to me after i emailed them like 20 times to follow up. don't let this place give you the runaround just go elsewhere for better service and cheaper prices. i will say the employee who sold me the glasses (asian guy with glasses) was amazing and friendly and i appreciate his help! it's the management that sucks and doesn't know what they're doing.

I went to Specs in South Park for an eye exam for the first time last week and was not pleased at all. Dr. Hoffman, the optometrist who performed my exam constantly talked over me, and did not provide specifics about my prescription, only saying that I had something for up close, something for far, and that he really recommended glasses --and tear drops. Once out of the exam, the receptionist was very quick to encourage me to browse their available frames, complement me on my choices, and push me towards buying ones that were "made in Barcelona!" --as if that were a legitimate reason to choose a frame over others. Although 10 min after my exam I had yet not received specifics about my prescription, the receptionist had, however, prepped a thorough list of prices for the frames that he had seen me try on. They kept pushing me to buy the expensive coated lenses over normal ones, even when I hadn't even made a decision to buy any one. In the absence of specific information on my prescription, which I kept asking for, only to receive answers that "it would be sent via email to me", I decided to not engage in more business with this provider. I felt that my medical information was being kept from me so as to get a big sale from my visit. I did not receive the specifics of my prescription until I emailed them the day after asking for it in writing. Alas! My long-time good vision remained almost intact, with no real need to get glasses at all. I am very glad I trusted my gut and not their pushiness to buy needlessly. Customer service like this one only undermines public trust in medical providers, to the disadvantage of all.
