Extremely poor customer service. Would not recommend! I had a prescription and order for a new pair of glasses in hand. Just needed to be processed. I went into their office to process the order, but was told by the receptionist that it couldn't be done right away, because the person in charge had to go on a lunch break, but they would call me back as soon as the person returned from their break. So I went home and waited a few hours, but didn't receive any calls. I decided to call them back myself and the receptionist told me that there was some issues with the frames, even though before she had told me everything was okay with the order, and that they would have to sort it out and call me back the next day. Two days later, still no call. The following day, I called again and was told once again that it can't be processed just yet, but they would call me back in 15 minutes to process it. Several days later and without any calls from them, I decided to go with the different provider. That provider processed my order right away and a few days later, I picked up my new glasses without any issues.
Was denied a visit today due to the receptionist informing me that I needed a referral with Tricare P for an annual eye exam. I let her know that no it was still covered as I checked my benefits the other day to which she replied no you need a referral that it changed this year here's the fax number you need to go to your primary doctor.
Well I called my insurance. She was wrong and I was correct that annual eye exam provided by an optometrist are covered yearly without a referral and I only needed a referral to see an ophthalmologist. So no clue where she got her information from but she was grossly misinformed.
Just a heads up to any other military families seeking care as this location is near the largest military housing. They dont verify benefits.
For years I've wasted time and money on glasses knowing that I'd go get them updated and everything would still be blurry, my head still hurt, and my neck would be killing me. I've been trying to fix this for 13-14 years.
Finally, I heard about BVD and started looking into providers to test it. In comes Total Vision Tierrasanta. I'm hopeful for an answer but leery of the fix.
They confirm Binocular vision dysfunction is the correct diagnosis. They inform me about NeuroLens and I'm nervous of the cost. Eventually the idea of what it could help outweighed its cost.
For the first time in I don't know how long I can completely, fully, comfortably see. I can see without the double vision. I simply can see! I haven't been able to for at least my whole adult life.
The only regret is I didn't use the half off promo to get a second set. I wasn't confident in it until after my lenses were corrected the few times since they came in wrong at first and until I knew I'd wear them regularly since all my others I had in their box more than not. I'd happily get a second set if it were still on the table. They're beyond worth it.
For the first time in my life I'm happy to wake up every morning and go straight for my glasses. The rare moments I forget them I feel completely lost and usually will go out of my back to go back for them. It's very easy to notice when they're not on most of the time.
If you need them, NeuroLens' are worth it. Yes, the tag is a bit intimidating, but man do they change the game. They are worth it! I couldn't imagine my life without them.
I appreciate Total Vision Tierrasanta for their help, diagnosis, correction and for giving me my eyesight.
The only thing I would say I wasn't thrilled about was my corrected lens being scratched when it got put in for the right color/right size to replace the incorrect tint and cut. I'm sure I could've pushed for it to be corrected but I didn't want to wait for a fourth set of lenses to be cut after the initial wrong color, the wrong size replacement and then these that one lens has a small row of scratches. I'm a lot OCD so it's an itch but I just wanted them to be the right tint in the right glasses with the right vision and didn't want another wait. Honestly, this whole process I feel is what left me missing out on the half off deal. 3 sets at roughly 3 weeks between sets is 9 weeks not knowing when there deal ends or if there's time for my eyes to adjust before time's up. Plus the 'fix' still being damaged. Everything else the appointment, the staff and the actual vision correction is great. That one part, not so much. I want to give 5 stars but that was frustrating and I felt I compromised a lot to be able to sit and wear my glasses. My compromises cost me the option of a second set that'd be a little more affordable. My faith in the glasses side of the business made me not want to ask if the offer could still be done because I didn't want months of the same thing.
If you can't find me, I'm the patient under Micaiah Webster.
I love my glasses. I just hate how much trouble they were.

I had a good experience getting my eye exam and getting to choose my frames. I chose 2 pairs, a normal pair and some safety glasses I needed for work. Told me the safety glasses would be ready between 4-6 weeks. However, after not hearing from them and calling them once a week after the 4th week to ask about my safety glasses, they told me they weren't ready. On the 7th week I go in and ask for my glasses and they tell me they've been on hold this whole time because they forgot to ask me for some information on the first day I went to get my eye exam and now I have to wait 2 more weeks for them to release my glasses from the lab.
The doctor was great with my two kiddos and the ladies Jade and Sherrille were so sweet and helpful with getting my family glasses.
My experience there was amazing. The technology they are utilizing made the testing enjoyable.
Nikki did the testing and she was amazing. I did not need the customary drops in my eyes that my other optometrist uses. (Some individuals may still need drops) I did not. The new technology and tests that were done as well as entering my old prescription and glasses I was currently wearing made it more accurate to determine if my eyes required a different prescription which enables the doctor to spend more time with each patient.
Nicole assisted me with dispensing my new glasses. She was very helpful and knowledgeable in determining which additional features I wanted to add to my prescription. I ordered the Ray Ban color block in Black and Tan - which she recommended. This was the most amazing experience I have ever had. Make an appointment. You will be happy that you did.
Thank you, one of the best eye doctors. Dr. Johnson is compassionate and understanding and was their to help me with PVD concerns, he addressed many questions and was a saint! his staff is wonderful: Stephanie went out of her way to help me, one of the best in staff and Joelle was very helpful as well!
I really liked everything except that if someone calls asking if you take their insurance I'm pretty sure that means they are looking to make sure their routine eye exam is covered and so to end the appointment with a $40 test that isn't covered is kind of shady to not tell the patient prior to the test. I've never gone to get a routine eye exam somewhere that is in network with my insurance leaving with balance due for some test I wasn't told was not covered. Not a way to keep customers coming back.
Update: The office called and resolved the issue, I really appreciated the personal call and the time she took to explain the test and why it is not always covered by insurance.
