My appointment was great. I arrived early and was called back just as I sat after completing paperwork. Everyone is so pleasant, helpful and professional. Highly recommend if you're looking for an vision care practice
We had a great experience, they made you feel at home and very welcoming.
We are happy to call Highlands Ranch Vision Center our new go to when it comes to our vision! Would recommend going here!
If I could give Dr. Huber a 10 star review I would. I have been going to him for 15 years and he is always so lovely and kind. But his office staff is incredibly rude which is why I am giving this review 2 stars. For several years now, every time I call I am greeted with unfriendly staff who gets aggressive over the phone for me asking very simply questions. I wish it was a one off or just one person, but this has again been my experience every single time Ive called for the past couple years. Quite unfortunate.
Just wanted to share my current disappointing experience. First off, the Dr and staff are very friendly and helpful so I'll give them 2 stars.
They didn't have the frames I wanted, so I purchased brand new frames online and brought them in to have lenses put in. They told me it would take around 7-10 days. It's now been almost 3 weeks, and they finally called me today. I was told bad news that the lab lost my brand new frames, but the "good news" is that they are purchasing the same frames and having lenses put in, but that it'll take up to an additional 2 weeks! So after paying $280 out of pocket, they lose my brand new frames and it's going to take over a month? I really hope they are the exact same ones because they were hard to find online. Very disappointing. Was hoping to receive some kind of compensation, but all that was offered was "sorry".
Great experience. Clear explanation of options and pricing. Interaction was about my prescription needs and preferences, and not about upselling or price negotiations. Much better than other optometrist chains.
This was our first time visiting this office, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. My son was just diagnosed with astigmatism, which is completely new for us as a family. Naturally, we had questions and wanted to understand the diagnosis better before moving forward with glasses.
Instead of being treated with patience and compassion, we felt rushed and even made to feel that our questions were "absurd." When I asked whether the diagnosis was based on machine readings or my son's responses, and whether tiredness could affect the accuracy, the staff's reaction was visibly annoyed. When the doctor came out to answer, her body language made it clear she was unhappy to be asked. Simple questions about accuracy, contact lenses, or long-term vision care were dismissed in a way that made us feel like we were wasting their time.
Meanwhile, the administrative clerk pressured us to choose frames immediately while my son was still processing the news. When we hesitated, she abruptly ended the interaction with a "you guys have a good day," which felt like being pushed out of the office.
Parents who are facing a new diagnosis with their child deserve compassion, patience, and clear explanations--not dismissal. We left with the prescription but no trust in this office, and we do not plan to return.
I am not one to write reviews often, but feel the need to right now because of what I'm going through. I have been attending HR Vision Center for, well...my entire life. Dr. Huber has always been amazing, and I've liked the front desk staff. This last time I went in, Dr. Huber was out and they gave me someone else. She was very nice, and the experience was fine.
The issue comes to present, where I now have to have emergency eye surgery on Thursday. Talking to the surgeon, he said this is not new, and should have easily been caught when I saw my doctor earlier this year, that's how long it's been going on. Since it wasn't caught by HR Vision Center, it allowed it to get worse and worse, and he said a few more weeks and I would have entirely lost vision in that eye. He said there is no way an experienced doctor shouldn't have noticed this in a regular exam, which does concern me.
When I called yesterday about the shadows in my eyes, they were helpful and kind, but it does floor me that they don't have emergency services. I was bounced around between three different areas (from here to their sister location to finally Kaiser services) before getting an appointment scheduled, and was told that those precious hours could have cost me more vision as this is a vision-threatening emergency.
Long story short, this place has been kind and lovely the entire time I have gone here. But because of this, I will not be going here moving forward. This was an incredible health emergency that was overlooked and not well handled, which breaks my heart to say, but I can't not speak out about this. I hope HR Vision Center looks into the expertise of their optometrists (again Dr. Huber is amazing - if you go here, please ask for him) and figures out some way to leave scheduled room for emergencies in the future.
I recently injured my face and eye. I was in bad shape as I broke my glasses as well. I went to see Dr. Lundien at Highlands Ranch Vision Center, the place I have been going to for 10+ years. Dr. Lundien was AMAZING. I had a concussion, bruises, black eye. She was so knowledgeable, kind, thorough, genuinely concerned about my injury, and flexible. The front desk was super accommodating as my appointment got switched around a few times (per my request) because I was coordinating the Urgent Care appointment. Lance, the eye glass technician was also incredible. He went out of his way to get me my new glasses quickly. Lance was helpful, friendly, and did everything he could do to accommodate me as I was in pain. I really appreciate everyone at Highlands Ranch Vision Center. I, too, rarely write reviews but I thought this one is necessary.
