My son and I had an exceptional experience at this location. The receptionist made the check-in process smooth, and I was quickly taken to the examination room, my son had his apponinment after mine. Dr. Filchak was incredibly thorough and patient, I never felt rushed, and he explained everything I ask about my eye health. It's clear that Dr. is passionate about what he does and genuinely cares about his patients. Nancy, the optician, was just as impressive, friendly, kind, professional, and always ready to answer any questions, whether it was helping me and my son, choose frames or explaining my prescription, she was knowledgeable and attentive. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for quality eye care. The whole team truly goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and well taken care of! Had a poor and unkind experience here today at the front desk. While checking my insurance, she said that my exam wasn't covered, immediately cancelled my appointment while I was already there (insurance was uploaded days ahead to their portal), and told me to reach back out after I spoke to my insurance. Another woman had come out and made a comment under her breath asking if I was being seen and that it's weird before I walked out. I did confirm with my insurance that I am covered, I called back and was told the person was on lunch but never received any type of contact. I did call another branch of MyEyeDr., they happily confirmed I was covered for my exam and a pair of glasses so I was able to schedule elsewhere.

I had the best experience today at Dr. Filchak's My Eye Dr. location in Southbury. I have moved out of the area after becoming a patient. However, I will continue to come for my yearly check up at this location based on the professionalism and ease of having my eye exam. The Eye Specialist Jennifer was wonderful and went above and beyond to assure I had the correct eye glass prescription.

I saw Dr. Filchak's today for an eye exam. The office was warm, but the staff made sure to not skip a beat. They were on time, friendly, and helpful. The doctor was very personable and friendly. I purchased two pairs of glasses with Nancy and she was patient and helped me pick out glasses that suite my face. I'm so happy I was able to be seen on the same day I inquired about the appointment. One strange thing did happen. When I originally called to make this appointment. I dialed the wrong location. When I tried to confirm I would see Dr. Filchak, the receptionist (Rose? Rosie?) said something along the lines of "you want to be seen here at the "good" office with the "good doctor". This is particularly strange considering they are the same company. A little shocking to be quite honest. Nevertheless I did see Dr. Filchak. This location has a great team!

Everyone at My Eye Doctor is so, so nice - very professional, very patient, very accommodating, and very helpful! Nancy was amazing - I needed an emergency pair of glasses, and quickly, and she helped me find an awesome pair and made sure they were ready on time - I am so appreciative!!! I highly recommend My Eye Doctor!!!

Nancy the optician in Southbury CT is the best optician I have ever worked with. Patient, positive attitude throughout. I always have trouble fitting glasses. And she made the whole process a positive experience. Cannot recommend her enough.

Got to my appointment on time and I was seeing over people going in so after 30 minutes, I asked how long it will be. They said a couple more minutes . After another 10 minutes someone walked and was taken in and that's when I decided to leave. Definitely will not go back to this location

My first time at a MyEyeDr and first time with Dr Filchak. Dr Filchak is a professional and personable Dr. I'm an inquisitive person by nature and happily answered all my questions on how the instruments work as they were different than other places. The MyEyeDr staff was very polite and helpful throughout the process.
