Delaware Eye Care Center

This was my first visit, I just switched to this office based on a recommendation. The staff were friendly, a little gregarious considering the size of the waiting room. I feel the overall cleanliness of the office was fair at best....the cloth chairs in the waiting room are dirty with stains in the fabric, could use a fresh coat of paint and/or remodeling. The exam rooms were clean and staff that assisted with the exam were friendly as well as the ophthalmologist. My overall experience was good but I feel the office appearance could improve.

Although I always have to wait past my appointment time, after I am called I am moved through their system quickly. This last time I found the time spent in the "dark room", (after eye drops) seemed much shorter than before. All who dealt with me are professional and knowledgeable. I especially like my doctor, Dr. Doyle, who always is personable and reassuring. I highly recommend this office of eye specialists.

They ensured I was comfortable during every test and provided helpful guidance on frames and lens choices that fit my lifestyle and budget. The level of personalized care and attention to detail really stood out. Appointments have consistently run on time, and I've appreciated the respectful and compassionate communication throughout the process. It's clear that Delaware Eye Care Center puts patients first and strives for excellence in eye care. After nearly 25 years using the same eye care facility, I had to select a different Optometrists due to change in health coverage. I selected Delaware Eye Care Center in Newark. The staff including the receptionist, technicians, optometrist and the optical technicians, all were knowledgeable in their craft and were able to provide answers to my questions. It was a great experience! Thank you for your service!

Staff & all are nice but wayyyyy behind on wait times. Saw staff talking multiple times in the hallway with a full waiting room. My appointment was at 9 I didnt get seen until 10. They need to get their time management better.

My eyesight is extremely important, as everyone's. I could go anywhere to have my eyes examined. DE eye care actually meets my needs to provide specific medical care that I need. Excellent job to examine and provide what I need. I definitely recommend and will continue going here.

From start to finish Valerie & Vanessa at the front desk were extremely helpful, especially since I had a new vision carrier. Paul & Dr Abraham are both highly skilled. They made me feel comfortable while I was being examined, and answered all my questions.

The staff and doctors were wonderful, everyone was friendly and respectful!!!! That being said I did have an issue with the amount of time I was there. It took nearly 2 hours for a routine (no glasses or contacts) exam, perhaps they were overbooked? I will definitely continue going to this practice, as everyone was so kind, I will just make sure to block a lot of time to be there!
