America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

Unprofessional Staff - Wasted Time and Insurance Issues I had a very frustrating experience at this America's Best location and feel obligated to warn others. Earlier this year, after my prescription was updated, I ordered glasses here (this was my second year using this branch). About 14 days later, I picked up my glasses and immediately noticed blurry vision. I returned the next day and spoke with the same employee who placed my order, Kiela. Instead of properly checking the issue, she dismissed it and told me to "adapt" and give it time. After a full week of poor vision, I returned again. A different employee re-measured the glasses and discovered the original measurements were entered incorrectly. I was told the glasses had to be sent back to the lab for another 10 days. At that point, I requested a refund. The biggest issue is this: they did not void the insurance claim the same day the refund was requested. My insurance company clearly told me that once the provider voids the claim, I can immediately use my insurance elsewhere. Because America's Best failed to do this, my claim is still active more than 15 days later, my refund is not completed, and I am blocked from using my insurance. Every time I call, I'm told the manager, Vanessa, is not available and that someone will call me back -- which never happens. This is extremely poor customer service and a complete lack of accountability. I strongly recommend thinking twice before trusting this location with your prescription or insurance.

I recently took my child's broken glasses back to Americas Best in Evanston to get his glasses replaced, and I have to say, the experience was fantastic! Atzi helped us throughout the entire process and was so attentive. We found the perfect replacement glasses, and Atzi even made sure they got covered under warranty. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you're in need of eyecare. Thanks, Atzi, for your wonderful service!

I was glad to have a new America's Best open closer to me. From calling for an appointment and making arrangements with Joriah, to going in and getting assistance from Amneris. Dr. Park was amazing. She dealt with my anxiety over whether I was in the machines right and was thorough and I felt comfortable with her assessment. Joseph helped me pick frames, we had some laughs, and even staged some photos for this review. I like adding photos into Maps, and this is the first set where there's some staged photos along with my unpatented strange angle photos that y'all love. The glasses were ready early. They fit great. I even chimed in and helped ease a client understand how her first progressives see, and the way you get used to them. All in all one of my best glasses experiences and I'm glad to call them my base for glasses. 10/10 would eye exam again.

Highly Recommend this place!!! I'd like to share my experience with America's Best. The customer service was excellent--everyone I interacted with was professional and courteous. Although we encountered a minor issue with my insurance, I was able to return and speak directly with the manager. The manager was outstanding, walking me through the problem step by step and following up exactly as promised. Their commitment to clear communication and follow-through made the process seamless. I had a great experience here at the Evanston location. Vanessa was very helpful and knowledgeable and provided exceptional customer service! Atzi, was amazing she fitted me for the frames and provided exceptional customer service and very kind and I would give the service a 10!! Thank you all!

Kiela was friendly, patient and professional when taking care of my eye appointment visit today. I recommend America's Best and will return there as a patient in the near future.

I had wanted to try this location out because I was born and raised in Evanston IL. I had a bad experience.The staff was very rude Ashdon the black man who check me out and told me my contacts was out of stock. So I need some contacts really bad. That's why I came in and got my appointment. He told me it will be 2 days to get my contacts. So I called and asked them can I get a pair until my came in. They acted like they couldn't give me a pair until mine came in. The 2 ladies at the desk act like I was lying and I told them I had my paperwork. The black guy Ashdon told me they had a incident before I told him what does that have to do with me. I'm a loyal customer. I definitely won't be coming back here and all of there staff sucks. They look down on you. I had to give a star to make a review. Being honest I wouldn't have gave them any stars. I'm definitely gonna go back to the location I been going to the one on Lincoln in Chicago for years. And this is what I get for trying a new location and Ashdon lied to me and said my contacts will be in 2 Days and I came back to get my pair until new ones came in. Now he's telling me 5days now. Ashdon make up your mind I paid for 4 boxes I shouldn't have to get 21 questions about where I live and do I go to the other location out there. Please just give me my contacts. Unhappy customer.
