My life was changed by Dr. Getzell. At age 7, I was falling behind in school. My classmates would read circles around me. After being placed in special classes for what my teachers assumed was dyslexia or a learning disability, I began to feel like I would never be academically successful. But then I met Dr. Getzell, who diagnosed and helped treat my convergence insufficiency, and it was as if a whole world opened up to me. I am now 19 and am attending one of the top universities in the nation with a major in literature. If it wasn't for Dr. Getzell and behavioral optometry, I wouldn't be where I am today.
