Constantaras & Perros

In 1982, when I was just a year old, Dr's. Constantaras & Perros, along with an also very young Dr. Apollo Solecki (whom eventually became a world-renowned Psychiatrist, that I met by chance again later in life as a psychiatric client, as it happens, and RIP), all three performed a corrective surgery on my right eye, having been born with it crossed inward, thereafter having a condition called alternating esotropia. I've never been able to see in 3-D, if that helps illustrate things. BUT -- as it's a hereditary condition passed down from my father, who never had the corrective surgery, I got to see just what I'd have been left with, had my parents not chosen to do this operation on my eye. And I'll tell you, when my family lived in the city, as I grew up, these guys were my eye doctors all the way, twice a year. My mom also worked within the group practice somewhere at the time, I think, so she would occasionally bring us to the office with her, and I remember they'd let me get up in the exam chair and test myself on the eye chart for fun. There was one Dr. in the group that even called me the little professor. Granted, sure, we're talking 40, 35, 30 years ago until we moved out here. But even another 25 years later when I bumped back into Dr. Solecki, I found that nobody has ever had a bad word to say about Dr's. Constantaras and Perros. And since I can remember them so fondly after all these years, I figure there's gotta be something they'd been doing right, right from the start. Thank you, Doctors, for always taking such great care of my, and my family's eyes, when we lived in the city! To this day, I sincerely appreciate the work you did on my eye.
