Eyes of Grace

I love Dr. Grace Bae. However, the reception desk staff need to work professionally and attentively. Their hospitality and customer service must be improved extensively. They made a mistake and sent my prescription to a wrong pharmacy and did not even bother to say "sorry for your inconvenience." They did not pay attention what I wrote as my pharmacy in the form. They tried to make it as my fault. When I pointed out clearly that it was their mistake, they said, "Okay. I see." No acknowledgment of their mistake. No apology for the customer who needed to endure pain and exprience of delayed healing because of not being able to pick up medicines immediately . Especially, Korean speaking receptionist, please learn and practice how to say "sorry" to your customers, whether they speak Korean or English or both.

I waited forever for an appointment, she was yelling at her employee in front of everyone in the waiting room, never gave a recommendation for dry eye drops and never gave me a new eyeglass order. I went there so I could stop using readers and had tearing eyes. She dilated my eyes and told me I might need cataract surgery and to watch a video. Then she said no I didn't need it . Sent me home with no warning I was going to be nearly blind driving home. Luckily it was close. I had painful vision for 2 more days. I called there because she said she was writing me an order for drops but when I went to the pharmacy they had no order. The worst doctor ever. Total waist of time with a wretched person. A clue should have been she had a sign up in the examination room "Looking for help" Grace needs to find some grace.

Took my aunt to this doctor, she was told she needs cataract surgery, might need two surgeries on the same eye. My aunt saw her a few times, started taking the drops two days before surgery. On the day of the surgery, like an hour before she was scheduled, they called and cancelled her surgery because they don't have this one solution at the surgery center. Wanted to reschedule her surgery for the following week, she would need to pick up more eye drops and start all over again. The worst doctor I have ever seen. Stay away from her office, which you would be sitting in waiting room for hours while she tends to her Asian patients first.

My mother asked me to write this review on her behalf as she does not use the internet or own a computer. My mother has had a lot of experience seeing many different doctors over the years. This has given her a really good ability to tell the difference between someone who is caring and compassionate versus someone who is not. She cannot stop singing praises about Dr. Bai. She strongly feels that Dr. Bai is a very caring, concerned and trustworthy healthcare professional. Dr. Bai listens to her, addresses her concerns and makes her feel important. In a time of many cynics towards doctors, this is a big deal. No one wants to be just a number. Kudos to Dr. Bai for making my mother feel better.

Horrible doctor. She lied about my mother's surgery that it was not successful just so she can do two more surgeries just to rack up a bill. My mother went to a different doctor to get a second opinion and it turns out the surgery was successful. Do not go to this doctor. Liar.

Worst experience. Re-visited the hospital to check the progress. Dr. Bae doesn't know what she did in last visit.. Looks like they don't keep patient record at all. Also, bad attitude & not professional.

I'm first time at this location was referal by a good friend Tommy Finnegan. I have the most excellent experience I could see my vision was 30-40 I was very worry about my vision. First I want to thanks God, then Tommy an the doctor Grace S. Bai MD To make a miracles on my vision an for experience I see 20/20. My vision is extremely perfect.. Thank you.. I truthly recommend this doctor to everyone She's amazing staff personal are very friendly an they all make you feel like part of there families... Thank you doctor Bai, for providing my vision back... Thank you

I've had Dr.Bai for years. I don't see her in the winter, when the weather is bad, because she is kinda far and Skokie doesn't clear the snow very well, for people who have to take the bus. I like her.
