Dr. David Magnante, MD

I would not recommend taking children to Dr Magnante. My children were born prematurely and have had their eyes checked by different ophthalmologists around the US every year (we moved often because of my husband's military service). Not only was his bedside manner the least favorable of the doctors we have been to, but he also did not do vision screenings, which every other doctor has always done for us as part of their exam. My fault for not asking prior to our visit, but my children are 14 and under, so it's not the first time we have seen an ophthalmologist. We will not be returning there, despite the friendly front desk staff.

I would highly recommend Dr. Magnante. I had hooded eye lids and he performed surgery on them. While he was doing the surgery we joked around and laughed a lot. First time I ever enjoyed having surgery! His sidekick was just as fun as he was. Sorry that I didn't remember her name but she was cool. All the staff were above and beyond being friendly and helpful. I am still healing but to date I have had no problems at all. My son has a ptygerium on his left eye. He has had successful surgery on this in the past many, many times. I took him to Dr. Magnate for repeat of this surgery and he is now blind in his left eye! I took my son to 2 specialists who each told me that the damage was permanent. When I approached Dr. Magnate, he could have cared less, didn't even apologize. I would never ever recommend this doctor.

If you need handicap accessibility, stay away. Unbelievably, for a practice that does cataract surgery, their office does not have it. And their response is that they are not required to have it. Also, we were seen at 9:53 for a 9:20 appointment with no expectation of running late set at check-in, and no apologies when we were seen. They give the sense all they care about is numbers, not patients. The surgery was successful, so if you can handle the rest, they are probably okay.

If it were possible, this rating would be a minus 5. I don't think I've ever dealt with a medical facility that has less consideration forpatient care. The staff have awful attitudes! Another doctor will be doing my procedures

He took excellent care of my mother. Very thorough & clear to understand.

100% recommend. The best as far as I'm concerned.

He did a great job from start to finish.
