I only wish all doctors were like Dr. Kusimi. He went above and beyond to save the. vision in my eye. I don't get sick I don't break bones I'm not comfortable in a doctor's office for anything other than a yearly checkup and that doesn't thrill me either. When the doctor told me I needed an operation I was shocked and terrified. Only his kind competent manner calmed me. He stayed late and got me done at a time that was obviously after regular hours. People are complaining about the wait. He takes care and time with patients. He's a great doctor and so much in demand. Of course, there is a wait would you rather have no wait and a lousy doctor?

Dr. Kusumi is the kindest doctor and the nursing staff are knowledgeable and kind. I was so scared and didn't know what to expect when going in for my first appointment, but they made me feel welcome and assured I would be okay. God bless Dr. Kusumi and his staff. Yes it's a long wait, but he's a very busy man. I was always appreciative of his time and caring nature.

This doctor office was one of the worst experiences I ever had. I was left in the corner of a waiting room for like 30-45 minutes to dilate with nobody saying anything to me, like we will be right with you or anything. The doctor had no idea what was going on with my eyes nor did he care to try harder. I have since found an amazing doctor in Caramel, IN named Dr. Morothy, dilation for him is only about 10 minutes. I hate traveling, but will definitely do it for Morothy, wish Lafayette had better Eye doctors, it's sad we gotta travel just to find a decent one.

My mother has been a patient of Dr. Kusumi for over a year. We have never been to an appointment that we have not had to wait. The shortest wait was an hour and longest was over 3 hours. She finally had her fill at her last appointment after an hour. She was told it would always be like this. This office needs to know that the patient's time is just as important as the doctor's.

I was in lafayette visiting fam and developed an eye problem. Their scheduler was kind enough to squeeze me into a same day appointment despite a full schedule. I am so thankful she did. Dr Kusumi and his staff were very kind and attentive. Despite having an office full of patients Dr. Kusumi took the time to answer my questions and made sure I was aware of any warning signs and how to have a speedy recovery.

I was referred to Dr. Kusumi after complications with a cataract removal. He was very informative and friendly. Put me at ease immediately. He and his staff are just great. I couldn't ask for better care.

Appointment was at 2pm my time and here it is 4:37pm and still waiting to see the eye doctor. I live 1hr and 10min away this is ridiculous

Would never recommend Dr Kusumi or his staff. After surgery nurse ripped gauze and tape off my face, it was so painful. The surgery on my eye to repair a detached retina was not done correctly and I had to return to my regular eye surgeon (he was out of state) to have it corrected. My right eye will never heal correctly.
