My family and I had been with Neovision for nearly 15 years. We always appreciated the professionalism and quality of care provided by our optometrist (now retired). Unfortunately, that standard level of care has plummeted since they've been acquired by Evan Taylor. In April 2025, I scheduled my kids annual checkups with Dr Wu. The appointments for both boys were scheduled on the same day with their times being back to back. As a single parent, this works best for us and my schedule. Out of nowhere, a few days before their appointments - I received two obscure generic text messages from Neovision. The texts indicated that both kids appointments had been changed to different days/times with no explanation or follow-up call to confirm if acceptable. I called to discuss the rescheduled appointments. The front desk staff was very short with me, implying it was somehow my fault. Ultimately, I chose to keep the appointment for the sake of my son, despite having to rearrange my schedule at the last minute. When we arrived, I was shocked to learn that they also switched him to a different doctor (Dr Held). During checkout, I experienced behavior from the front desk staff that was both unprofessional and deeply concerning. Staff demanded payment for the co-pay. I tried to explain that although my son has VSP and Eye Med - he also has Medicaid due to being disabled. Therefore, Medicaid will pick up the co-pay balance and no payment should be due from us. The receptionist calls over the front desk manager to discuss. The front desk manager yells at me "that's not how it works"! Her voice kept getting louder and she proceeded to berate and humiliate me in front of other patients. She was very passive aggressive. She called me "condescending" and made comments to me like "since you think you know it all". Most concerning, was her decision to discuss my son's private health information in a public waiting area. I've never encountered this employee before in all my years with Neovision. The front desk manager stated that she's been in that role for "7 years". Which leads me to believe that she is part of the Evans Taylor group. BEWARE! Her conduct was not only inappropriate but a serious breach of patient privacy and professionalism. This interaction was publicly humiliating and extremely upsetting for my son and I. The Neovision we once knew, is no longer. Evans Taylor has brought a disappointing shift in both customer service and attitude. I sincerely hope they reevaluate their approach to patient communication, professionalism, and especially their treatment of families with vulnerable children. I may need glasses, but I don't need to see this place again.

Associates at reception desk are rude. The act like the customer is bothering them even thought they are just on Facebook. I was told Glasses would be at store in 10 business days, it has been 23 business days. Receptionist told me they had no may to check status of glasses. I believe they can call company who makes the glasses instead of being on Facebook. I called yesterday, received cold Response, was on hold over 15 minutes and Was told they can not check of status of order. I am done at that store. A Over

I scheduled an eye exam a little over a month ago. I informed them I had new insurance and asked them to verify they accepted said insurance. They informed they did accept it. Fast forward to the appointment. I get there and they inform they don't accept it. I have been going to Neovision for years. Here's to a month of waiting for nothing! i Will not return.

Haven't had a good experience there since the new owners took over. Extremely over priced and slow. It definitely is not the same Neo Vision as it used to be. They are just worried about getting your money and the office manager tried over charging me.

This is not same place it used to be. Optometrist are pushing to go buy frames which are obviously extremely overpriced. The new optomap screening for extra $39 is pretty much a requirement. Mind you it's obviously not covered by the insurance. So instead of dilating your eyes and spending time with no extra money, they would rather scan using Optomap and charge you extra. I suspect great providers like Dr. Lowe chose to retire rather than be part of this new ownership, which is nothing but a scam. I hope Purdue university stop promoting them as preferred vision partners. Stay Away!!

So many people are going to miss Dr. Lowe! He is just amazing! One of the few doctors that take the time to care for and know their patients. Best wishes to him as he starts his next adventure!

So, Neovision was bought out by Evan & Todd in June 2025. We had our appointment with them in July unaware this had happened until our appointment that we had waited to get into since April. My son picked out his frames which were listed on the frames themselves at $204. Insurance covered $200 of it. We were told his amount for the frames would be $4. They call today to tell us the frames are $254 and we owe $54 now. I told the optician on the phone it is listed on your frames at $204 and we were even told we would only owe $4 the day of our appointment as well for the frames. With a rude tone she says well in our system they are $254. We switched companies so maybe they weren't updated on the floor yet. Isn't the whole point of having an optician help you find the frames and write it up afterwards on flips to make sure the pricing is right? This was 5 days ago! So, in 5 days we went from $4 to $54 for his frames because they aren't honoring the prices on their frames they are wanting patients to pick out within our insurance plan allowance. We will no longer be patients at "Neovision" or whatever their new company is because this was so scratchy. I will add the optician older lady that day that "helped" us was in a walking boot, don't recall her name decided to take a lunch break at n between our kids and we ended up waiting an extra 20 minutes to have someone else help us while I had a 7 month old I was trying to keep happy. Our appointment and "helped" afterwards with trying to find frames within our budget was over two hours long and we drove over an hour away to their office. Had, I known it was going to end like this we would have looked for a new office closer, but we had been dedicated patients to Neovision for years before we moved away and never had problems before. Now, the opticians are rude, the office staff is rude, and they treat like cattle instead of patients all while price gouging their vision wear and not informing the people who are paying for the glasses.

Neo Vision was an excellent place for eye care, staff attentive, efficient, patient and prices reasonable and affordable. However, since Evans and Taylor took over prices are high, there is forced tests that are labeled co pay at $39.00, they insist you take this. The same staff is still wonderful but the atmosphere is sometimes chaotic and prices all over are higher.Last year, Neo had the same test available for patients to choose to have or not and it only cost $25.00 not $39.00. it so sad that whenever large businesses take over it's all about money. I pray for Neo's staff and hope they continue to be as great as ever.
