America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

Edit: It's been 21 days, was never contacted that my contacts were in and ready for pick up. The excuse was that it's an automated call that goes to spam for the majority of people. I also was on hold for 11 minutes when I called in to find out if my contacts were ready for pick up or not. There was also no response from the customer service email below. My customer service experience was great with the receptionist in the front. But I was here for almost 2 hours only to see a doctor on a screen. I was not made aware at all that I wouldn't be seeing a doctor in person. I didn't even try glasses on just had an eye exam and needed to order contacts. I had to wait to order my contact because the lady who does that part had phone calls to make. When I voiced my complaint about being there so long I was informed that it is standard to be at an eye appointment for 90 minutes or more. So be prepared to wait and be prepared to not see a doctor in person.

Wasted my time. After arriving early, I waited in the waiting area for a half hour past my scheduled appointment time. Then the doctor never answered the video call. So I was never fully screened. So a complete failure. I never had an appointment of any kind that had to be cancelled while I was sitting in the lab/office/screening/ room. Just like most adults, the time i selected was specific to my limited schedule. So I couldnt even reschedule because I have to make other arrangements to free up a window. My suggestion is make sure you have 2 or more hours available for this.Good luck.

Visited the branch in portage, IN. From the moment I made phone contact with them the personal service was apparent. Destiny at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. Dr Tim rocks. He spent as much time as necessary to perform the vision tests and answer all my questions. From there I worked with Kat to pick out the frames and customize my lens preferences. She was very helpful and pleasant. Other staff members, like Ida, engaged me in friendly conversation. Another staff member handed out candy to all of us which was a very nice personal touch from her. Can't say enough about how I was treated.

I absolutely love, Americas Best Ida has been a phenomenal manager and has helped me immensely and when I call their JoAnna is the main one I talk to and she's the one that I always wanna deal with. She knows what she's doing. She has the answers for me and she's prompt.

I booked an appointment online, got the confirmation email, showed up and was told I was seeing a Dr on a screen? Nothing in the email stated it was telehealth, but I decided it was fine. I waited for my appointment, the lady took me back and said "since it's been more than 2 years since your last exam, the dr is refusing to see you." Are you serious? I walked out without being seen at all after not being warned about a telehealth appointment. After reading the other reviews, I see a lot of patients agreeing that telehealth appointments went bad. I'm sorry but a dr examining my literal eyeballs should be looking in person.

I had a problem with my eyeglasses and I took them in for service, I was greeted by Emma who is the Asst. Manager she assisted me with my problem with professionalism and courtesy. She made an executive decision that I totally agree with I love when employees take pride in servicing the customer instead of pushing the product

The staff is always super friendly, but Ida went out of her way for me yesterday by sending me texts pics of a new potential frame that would fit my older lenses. She went above and beyond the great customer service you all have provided. Thank you again Ida!

I had received excellent service but I'm kind of upset that when I made my appointment I wasn't notified that I wouldn't have a doctor in the office that I would be having a doctor through a zoom meeting. I wish I would've been told this, this way I could've rescheduled for a day when the doctor was actually in the office because I wanted my eyes dilated. Now I'll have to pay another 70 bucks out of my pocket or more to see a doctor
