I was referred here by another optician, and I'm so glad I chose NEO. Merv was so helpful and personable and a pleasure to do business with. unfortunately my glasses broke and I'm going through the warranty process to get them replaced but Merv has been extremely helpful with that as well, he emailed me all the details of what lenses he put in and has agreed to replace the lenses on my new pair once they arrive. I may update this as the situation unfolds but I've had a wonderful experience here, Merv is extremely kind and so far vastly exceeded my service expectations

WOW what a great shop and incredible owner! I was in town for a week this winter and needed a new lens prescription filled before I flew home and Merv was able to rush an order and get it to me in time. However, I had emailed him an ambiguous prescription and the one he filled wasn't the one I needed. He could have easily said it was my mistake and sent me on my way. Instead, he found a source for new lenses that was on the west coast and could still overnight lenses in time to him. He then filled the new prescription and made sure it was safely stashed for me to pickup after hours before my flight. Incredibly, he insisted on eating all the extra costs and didn't charge me a penny for the new lenses or all the extra shipping and service. And as a bonus, he even left me a much appreciated parting gift (see photo)! I've gotten so used to online non-service and chain retail mediocrity - this reminded me why owner-operated small businesses run by a passionate and caring owner is the way to go if you can find it. Thanks Merv - lots more business coming your way from me and anyone I can spread the word to.

Go see Merv! Seriously, just go see Merv! You won't be disappointed! We were in the area from Kansas City for a wedding when one of the nose pads on my glasses broke off. Merv sorted that out quickly but also replaced the other one so that they would match. Customer service at its finest!

Best selection of frames anywhere. Most interesting selection of frames anywhere. Best handcrafted frames. Best customer service! I can't recommend Merv and his service highly enough. He's been in business 23 years and is still passionate about his craft. He just made me a pair of Italian frames and they fit me perfectly. He spent as much time as necessary to make sure they fit, and for that I'm grateful. I'm so glad I found NEO and will never buy my glasses anywhere else. I suggest you do the same!

Merv at New England Optics guided me through the purchase of my first pair of glasses, remaining patient and personable over the course of several weeks, perhaps two months, of trying tweaks and lenses until he crafted a solution that worked for me. Merv offers a wide variety of frames and lenses, is knowledgeable, and dedicated to his clients. He does not settle for merely being satisfied when there is an improvement to be made. I am pleased to be able to read comfortably, and enjoy hobbies again that I'd set aside for years.

Merv makes buying glasses fun! He listens to what you want, is great at recommendations (but only if you want them) and there is no pressure! Everything is done in-house, the turnaround time was quick and the quality is excellent. I cannot recommend Merv and New England Optics enough!
