I was referred to Dr. Parnes by Dr. Shah for an urgent appointment. The entire staff at Retinal Specialist office was so amazing. From the reception area and all throughout the appointment. Every staff member I encountered during the visit was so friendly and kind on an extremely busy day. They were able to work me in. Dr. Parnes was so kind and professional during the entire procedure. He explained step by step what he was doing. I would highly recommend Dr. Parnes for any eye problems that require laser surgery or procedures.

On July 9, 2025 I went for my annual eye exam at America's Best and the doctor there found that I had a possible tear on my retina, so he requested me to see a specialist asap. I decided to call Mid-Atlantic Retina Specialists because Dr. Parnes was treating my mom for Macular Degeneration and I felt he was helping her, so I wanted him to treat me. On July 18, 2025 my husband drove me to Hagerstown for my appointment. Dr. Parnes looked at my eye and said yes there's a tear and I can do Laser Surgery on it now and that's what he did. I'm forever thankful that he was able to repair it right away, and now I feel grateful that I'm a patient of his and if I have any other problems I can see him! I'm also so glad and thankful that he makes the long trip to Everett, PA (and his staff) from Hagerstown that we can see him there and not always have to make that trip ourselves. I think that shows a lot of caring and respect for his patients! Thank you Dr. Parnes!!

I have been seeing Dr. Parnes for a couple of years. He has always been very kind, thorough and on time. The staff is considerate and efficient. They keep things moving. I am always in and out of my appointments in a reasonable amount of time, and have never felt like "just a number", which is a big factor to me. Mid Atlantic is a very good retina specialist practice.

The customer service and staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful in answering your questions. Since going to this practice, my eye condition has improved and is now stable. I met Dr Wenick when I started having symptoms of what turned out to be a partially detached retina. Dr Wenick performed the corrective surgery approximately 2 months ago and my recovery has been amazing. Dr Wenick has quickly become a trusted physician who has my complete confidence, addressing all of my questions and concerns during this emergency situation.

The staff is always friendly and polite. They answer any questions and I feel like my care is a top priority.
