Dr. Kalyani and his staff are truly amazing. I've been dealing with dry eye on and off for years, and Dr. Kalyani was able to fit me in and recommend punctal plugs, which helped immensely. I'm so grateful for the care and attention I received. Fresh Smiles is always a wonderful experience, and it's the reason I keep coming back every time.

Dr. Kalyani is terrific. I never had to sit in the waiting room, his staff is friendly and helpful, and there is always good communication. Dr. Kalyani explained the types of surgery that we're available, what the costs associated are, and what each option would mean for me personally. He gave me his recommendations, but did not pressure me to choose something I want comfortable with. The surgery itself was great. I was in and out of the outpatient surgery center in a couple of hours. Once again the staff was friendly and helpful. They explained everything clearly, and took excellent care of me. Dr Kalyani once again explained everything that we were doing, and made sure I was comfortable with everything going on. Post op instructions were clear and easy to follow One month out, I can see clearly! I can't say enough good things about how well everything went. I would highly recommend Dr. Kalyani to anyone who might need cataract surgery.

Dr Kalyani has been my Ophthalmologist for over 10 years. He is fantastic! This year I needed cataract surgery in both eyes. So of course I entrusted my care with him. And now that both are done, I have 20/20 vision without glasses (in eyes that have needed glasses since I was 10 years old). Dr Kalyani is a highly skilled professional, happily shares information, and is genuinely friendly. His office staff are wonderful and the cataract surgery center is state of the art. Found Kalyani Eye Care through word of mouth and was highly impressed the with the timeliness of the appointment. I saw Dr. Kim where she explained everything step by step. Dr. Kalyani also came in and examined me as well since I have a cornea issue. The technician that took me back was pleasant and knowledgeable, front desk staff was friendly and assisted forms. I would highly recommend this office. Great experience!

I just spent 20 minutes on the phone with this office. In the end, the person tried to make me an appointment with their optometrist for my medical condition. We all know, an ophthalmologist is vastly more educated and qualified for our eye needs. Her statement was, "Dr. Kalyani is booked up this month, but the optometrist is qualified for your medical needs." I'll pass. I'll also pass on this practice and go to the next one where I'm not wasting so much time on hold and they won't try to make me an appointment with a "Doctor" that is in actuality an optometrist.

When my husband and I relocated from New York to Maryland, he researched and chose Dr Kalyani as our ophthalmologist. Dr Kalyani embodies all the qualities we were looking for: He explains what he does, presents options for treatment, and makes you a part of the decision process. He is thorough, caring, patient, and does facilitate a comfort level that makes you unafraid to ask questions to get the answers you need. In addition, he has a beautiful office staffed by pleasant, competent workers. Over the years we have known that our choice was an excellent one, yet we were utterly in awe by his response when I had a frightening experience. One morning I started my day fine then suddenly lost temporary vision in one eye, which scared me beyond belief. I called the Doctor's office in a panic at 11:00am and left a message for a callback. My experience is that you are either told to go to the ER or the call is returned at the end of the day - even later in some cases. Dr.Kalyani called me back at 11:30am!! He was booked for the day, so he arranged for me to see his associate. When I got to the office, I did see his associate, but he made time to check on me and confer with her regarding my situation. I was checked out thoroughly. No stone was left unturned.My family and friends are in disbelief that this quality of care still exists. Without any reservations, I highly recommend Dr. Kalyani.

Unfortunately for me I've had extensive medical experience as a patient. Fortunately for you, you've either searched out or stumbled across this review. Every facet of the entire process was covered with the utmost of skill and professionalism whether in his office or at the surgery center. I've got nothing but great things to say about him, his staff, and facilities. They're the pros from Dover....get 'em if you can. I went from basically blind in my left eye and a 5.0/astigmatic in my right to 20/25 and 20/20 respectively. They gave me my life back.

Dr. Kalyani is the very best in the business and I'm so glad he's my doctor. He's thorough, very smart and best of all, he truly cares for each patient. And his staff is great. I can confidently say (after having two eye surgeries!), that I wouldn't trust anyone else with something as important as my vision.
