The office is friendly and home-like, Dr.Shedlo is very thorough and professional. He goes above and beyond what I have gotten at other eye doctors offices from an exam. They carry tons of glasses at decent prices, and many that are covered by my insurance. All my options are explained to me and never forced upon me. I ventured to get contacts and was given a one on one class on how to put them in and given everything I needed. He even wanted to see me back to make sure I was still okay with the contacts. I keep going back year after year for the same reason

Dr. Shedlo is one of the best optometrist in the DMV. He takes his time with all his patients and his staff is super friendly. I've been his patient for almost 4 years now and have loved his care and service. He has great selections of frames. I have never had problems with my prescription. I highly recommend Dr.Shedlo he is the best.

Dr. Shedlo and his staff are great. They made the chore of Getting an annual eye exam very enjoyable. The staff went out of their way to help me choose the right pair of glasses and contacts. I definitely will be back !

The Eyecare Center of Maryland is the best place to have your eyes examined. Dr. Shedlo is an honest person and so are his staff. They have great prices compared to other expensive optical stores, they accept many insurances and have large selection of frames. It's one of my favorite local businesses that I will continue to support in the years to come.

I have gone to this optometrist for years. The doctor is very good. I repeat the doctor is good. However; my last experience which was 2/20/2020 has left a bad taste in my mouth. I went to this establishment to get the eye exam, glasses and contacts. Mind you in pass years I went and only got the eye exam and contact lens. I hot the eye exam and contact lens "fitting". I purchased my frames out of pocket and was lead to believe that I was to receive my glasses and contacts within a week depending on the outside company that handles their prescriptions. Cool!!! But when I received the email informing me that my "glasses" were ready, I naturally thought well my contacts will be as well. NOT!!!! I was then told that I just had the contact lens "fitting" which means...you pay for them to fit you for lens, but you have to pay for them separately. Mind you, I wasn't informed of this prior to the exam which cost $95. Why would anyone pay $95 dollars and not receive contact lens? Then imogen I asked to speak to the doctor...he was busy with a patient and the lady I spoke with when I ordered all of this...they never let me speak to her. So needless to say, I won't be going back.

Eyecare Center of Maryland is a great place to go for eye examinations and eyeglasses/contact lenses. Dr. Shedlo is a great doctor. He takes his time with the patients, and he and his staff ensure a thorough examination. I trust him completely.

My visit to this office was smooth and uneventful. They confirmed ahead of time that they took my insurance, Tricare East.I was not kept waiting past my appointment time, and my exam was done efficiently. Dr. Sheldo was also, able to quickly find my records from my first visit 7+ years to compare to my exam that day. Still no glasses for me!
