Dr. Kimberly McLeod

Today, I visited Dr. McLeod for a thorough check up. I have known the good doctor for many moons. As a senior citizen, I recall the good old days-- I feel that this eye doctor is a throwback to past years: friendly, attentive, thorough, professional and candid. I was impressed by the multitude of "tips" which aligned well with her preventive eye care philosophy. I noted that I did not feel rushed during my whole experience. I have written this review just after leaving her office. Just like the many miniature elephant replicas that adorn her shelf and computer-- I will not forget her long time secretary who greeted me at the door, my friendly friend from the LensCrafter days who may assist you with choosing eye glasses, and the gent who I nicknamed "Sharpshooter" who did 4 eye tests prior to me being escorted to a room where I was greeted by Dr. McLeod. I highly recommend Dr. McLeod for all of your eye care. **August 7, 2025 I returned to the "Scene of the Contacts." Some things remained the same like the warm, welcoming- professional receptionists. This time my visit was different: my emergency call the day before was about a potential detached retina or maybe another serious problem. Well, I met with Dr. Mizerak, a soft spoken gent that has partnered up- many moons- with the brilliant Dr. Mcleod. I got to know the good doctor and he got to know the insides and outsides of my eyes by: * Reviewing my records before I arrived. * Performing "all" comprehensive exams on my eyes (Cameron generally would operate the Opti machine etc, but he was MIA). * Answered all of my probing questions, much like a Professor responding to his overly-curious student. I shared my thoughts in a past review, and now I have more supporting evidence to conclude: Mcleod Eye Associates is the best--- I highly recommend.

No issue with the doctor HOWEVER.... their hours of operation are not very convenient. I regret ordering a pair of eyeglasses there. Had I known it would be such a long wait to pick them up I never would have ordered them. I ordered them on Saturday, April 5th and was notified on the 16th that they were in. I just called to see if I could come Friday Saturday or Monday to pick them up and was informed if I couldn't get there today that I would have to wait until April 28th (11 more days) when their employee returns from vacation. Everyone deserves a vacation but there should be someone else there to accommodate customers in their absence. I work M-TH and can only get there on Friday (they are closed on Fridays) or Saturday so now I have to wait until Saturday, May 3rd to get my glasses that I ordered on April 5th. Should not take 30 days! I wish I was told about the vacation up front at the time I was considering my purchase because I would not have placed an order knowing it would be so long to receive my glasses. This is not acceptable customer service. I will never place another order for eyeglasses there again.

As always a very pleasant experience, and everything very well explained. No sales pressure to get new glasses if not much has changed.

I've been going to McLeod Eye for the last 10+ years. Dr. Kimberly McLeod is the best in the business. Always professional and easy to talk to. The staff is also friendly and make the eye exam process quick and efficient. I would not hesitate to recommended this office to anyone... Thank you Kim!

Dr. McLeod's 20+ years of experience is evident when she takes the time to explain anything related to eye health. She is very down to earth and surrounds herself with a team of professionals who always go the extra mile. I've been getting my exams, contacts, and glasses through McLeod Eye Associates for over ten years and am still impressed by them each time I visit or call. Don't trust your vision to a faceless web site or some national chain. Get the care you deserve through the whole process with Dr. McLeod and her team!

Receptionist refused to give owners name and email address after she was unwilling to waive $50 fee for missing an appointment due to a dying dog being rushed to Tufts an hour before an appointment. Her exact words after hearing why my husband missed were "ma'm you gave us an hour notice," as if an emergency could be planned better for the business bottom line. Zero heart for a loyal customer that never misses his appointment. Disgusting. I even offered to show the timestamp of when our dog went to Tufts. Give someone else your business.

I have done two appointments here with Dr. Mizerak over the past years and highly recommend this place. Dr. Mizerak is gentle, thorough, and professional. He's willing to answer any questions you have with great detail and to the point. This place is clean and the process is straight forward and stress free for me! The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. I have always bought glasses online after my appointments, but the woman who helps you pick out glasses there seems super nice!

I've had two eye exams here. Both times I had the male doctor and he was very kind and welcoming. The desk staff certainly are not, and the office has issues with billing. The first appointment I had, somehow never got paid because the office claimed that Blue Cross sent back an error code, but when I called the insurance directly, they said they were never billed. The desk staff I spoke to were extremely rude, stating I would have to pay out of pocket if the situation was unresolved, while the insurance assured me I was covered and they needed to send the paperwork. The insurance also told me if it became an issue, that I could file the bill with them myself if the doctor's office sent me one. My name and address after seeing them for the second appointment with a new insurance plan (but same provider) remained the same for years. Never received a single notice in the mail. Never a phone call. I obviously assumed they managed to file the paperwork and everything was all set. So, I went to make another eye exam appointment today. I was told there was an alert on my name and that I wasn't allowed to rebook due to an unpaid prior visit. I said "You've got to be kidding me" and received immediate attitude from the person I was speaking to. She went on to claim they tried to reach me several times and that the doctor had to "write off" the charge. I've had the same phone number for nearly 10 years. My first visit with them was about 6 years ago. So, lets do the math here.... How could you have tried to reach me if I never received anything? Why on earth would I even "not pay" when my insurance covers the entire cost and you're given the insurance info at the time of visit? And if there was an issue years prior, and we already discussed it, spoke to the insurance, and came to the conclusion that the paperwork needed to be sent in... If it didn't go through again, why wouldn't I be contacted? Extremely rude staff, particularly considering the issue at hand is they couldn't handle doing their job of contacting the insurance themselves to resolve the issue or contacting me if it had another error. Glad I'm not allowed to rebook, cause I wouldn't want to return.
