I had called last week to see if someone could see me because I've been experiencing a blind spot and then strange vision for about 1/2 hour before I get migraines. I'm assuming this is migraine with Aura, but since I've never had them in the past, it scared me, so I wanted to be certain that nothing was wrong with my eye. Also, for the past several months, I've been having extreme difficulty seeing at night or when it's foggy. I see a lot of starbursts, halos, and glare. After I called, they scheduled me for the next day. I thought I would get a thorough exam, not just a 5 minute eye check to see if I needed new glasses. Now , my insurance is refusing to pay for me to go somewhere else to get a proper exam with dilation and visual field test for an entire year. This just doesn't seem right. When someone calls and says that they've been losing vision for 30 minutes at a time and on top of that can no longer see at night when they are 41 years old, you would think they would have a thorough exam. It's reliant, so in all honesty, I'm not surprised.
