Village Vision Care

After 8 years of trying to build a patient history with what I hoped was a responsible professional vetted by Costco...I must report that these people are rude and unprofessional and will waste your time with no remorse or flexibility. Dr Holtz and her receptionist both looked hung over, did not answer the office phone, and treated me like crap when I showed up a few minutes late (after leaving a message that I hit traffic due to an accident). I wish I had my patient history with a doctor I could keep a good professional relationship with. This one does not care. She does not have to earn her business. Costco provides it. I'd rather trust someone else with my eyes moving forward.

Stopped in to see the doctor on duty at Village Vision while shopping at Costco. I had a concern about a possible contact left in my eye. Dr. Nguyen was on duty & had a little time between appointments. I've been a patient at Village Vision for years. I asked if she could take a quick courtesy peek at my eye to see if a contact somehow was lodged? Yes, she could for an office charge of $55. Really? My family and I will be getting eye exams elsewhere. Very disappointed.

Do not go here, it's not worth the headache of being able to get a slice of pizza afterward. Even with insurance, they charged me, I assume because they receive more from a customer than get reimbursed from insurance. Insurance says the claimed it as an eye and not a contact lens exam. I tell the office that, they refund me, but don't refund the credit card fee they charge. I fight to get my prescription sent to me. Then I fight for the refund of the credit card fee. How this place is in business? Maybe because they charge customers instead of billing insurance, maybe because there are no doctors left in the world. Exam was fine, but that doesn't mean anything when the people around the doctors are inept.

Unsure why Costco retains this poor level of customer service for such an important service. The people on the phone literally do not listen to what you tell them. Have used them once in the past and thought it might be different but unfortunately not. FYI. They only want cash or check ($175) if you are paying out of pocket

I have a complicated vision history. Dr. Redilla has been fantastic at listening, analyzing, and talking with me about what would be her best recommendation. She is the best optometrist I've ever had. BTW this is the optometry office inside the Costco on Airport Blvd. in Ann Arbor.

Patient care is not a top priority. They did not return my phone calls and were often closed during regular business hours.

Love the Optometrist Dr Amanda Holtz. The staff are friendly and welcoming. When requesting an appointment through the website, would like to be able to select open appointments vs when I would like to come in. ie m-f afternoon.

I was looking for contact lenses that wouldn't get stuck to my eye. The optometrist gave me Alcon Precision 1 which apparently are the second hardest lenses to take out. I cannot get them out. I will need to go the ER ophthalmologist to get them out. Was this some sort of sick joke?
