I was nervous about my eye, didn't figure it was my Cataract fully developed. As it is blurry and cloudy so I have to have Cataract Surgery. This is a common thing that happens, the Doctor and staff made me feel so comfortable and reassured me that it will be taken care of. I know all about this medical procedure as my mom had both eyes done. Grand Rapids Opthalmology is one of the Best I hear, so I feel comfortable having my Surgery here, and they have some of the Best Doctor's I hear. I feel confident and comfortable coming here. Dr.Fikkema was very nice and knowledgeable.

I first saw Dr. Muallem in June for a cataract surgery evaluation. The doctor explained the surgery and what my options were with my very high contact prescription (-14.5 and -13.0). After 5 different eye measurements done in early July, Dr. Muallem completed my evaluation and said I was eligible for lenses that would correct my vision for both distance and reading. The best news. I had the cataract surgery in August, waiting 2 weeks between eyes.
The staff at the surgery center were all so friendly and a swerved all my questions. I can now see 20/20 with no glasses or contacts. The first time since 3rd grade.
Dr. Muallem did a great job and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend GRO and Dr. Muallem.
