Rx Optical, a MyEyeDr. Company

After 8 weeks, I ended up with a broken pair of frames. I'm out my 2025 Medicare glasses allowance because they took so long to screw up my prescription in their lab in Florida. Lots of excuses. They said they they could put my Rx in my solid aluminum frames. Said they were broken when I brought them in, which was news to me. Have emails from both their customer service and company president. Want me to call them and talk it over. Done talking, lesson learned. The manager would hide in the back room when I came in. Despite having my name, address, cell and text, they couldn't bother to call me. Most of the time I was ghosted or hung up on and so I would just go into the store. I did get my $93 out of pocket, back. They also try and up sell you on things like insurance and glare (These are Transitions lenses) I thought the eye exam was good. My husband had an exam there with another doctor. They hustled us out after charging us $40 and referring us to a real eye doctor. The receptionist at the REAL eye place said they were being SLAMMED by patients referred from Rx Optical. I think their main goal is to sell lots of product.(Big corporate takeover.) Never had this problem before. Grand Rapids is full of great eye places, this ain't one of them.

Staff was amazing. I would give 5 stars but Friday night I got a text that my glasses were ready. It was too late after work to pick them up, but I noticed they were open until 2PM Saturday. I work until about 1PM but I could still make it to the store at 1PM to pick them up. Evidently they close whenever they want because when I stopped in at 1PM all the lights were off and the door was locked. The sign on the door even said that they closed at 2PM on Saturday's.

I love coming here and Dr. Szczepanski was hilarious! I was also helped by Kaden who was super attentive and welcoming. I can't wait to come back, they really know how to treat people here.

Came in for a what I thought was a hopeless adjustment after a traumatic head injury and Chelsea was quick, nice, efficient and very nice without any sense of judgement or disagreement from her. She has an amazing personality and temperament and I highly recommend her and the staff here 1,000,000%

Very helpful and open to working with me to find the best contacts/glasses. Caydon didn't rush at all; he took his time with each of my needs, was very personable, and made the entire process comfortable and easy. I won't be going anywhere else for my optical needs!

After hours answering service is not customer service friendly at all. They do not return calls at all or very late - I waited 2 weeks for a call back this last time. Don't see myself returning simply because of the customer service. The Dr. is nice but does not out weigh how they do not seem invested in their customer service.

I had fun picking out my new glasses. Caydom was a big help he has class and pick the right style for my face. He was honest and now I have 2 pair of cool glasses to start the new year! Thank you optical. : )

Came in awhile ago for an exam and glasses.the staff was great! especially Chelsea and Joe. Joe took the time to explain everything and didn't rush me which I appreciated. The doctor was great as well and listened to what I needed. Will definitely be back to this location. Highly recommend
