Sam's Club Optical Center

Please if you're someone of dark skin, don't go to this store, they're very discriminatory including theirs manager, the employee and the manager both mocking me by calling me black, they're discussing my medical information very loudly and everyone was looking at me, this store with theirs employees are very discriminatory and rude, they don't respect hipaa and phi policies, they need to go back study those policies before they can work in that store. Please stay away , thanks!

Horribly incompetent staff. Went in had them check my insurance prior to service. Was told it was authorized. After service they spent over an hour clacking away on the computer and still could not input the data. Did not ask for help, did not ask me any questions, forced me to pay oop way over my deductible and then I still got ans incorrect insurance bill. Unreal... never again Sam's club, never again.

My mother and I had spent some time looking for a different eye doctor after having issues with our previous eye doctor. I thought Sams club optical might be the place for us to try next. My mother 's experience was nothing except disrespectful. My mother worked with a doctor had no professionalism. I believe his name was Jay petersen or something similar. My mother informed him her previous eye doctor had given her daily contacts to try for her recent trip, and he was calling to get the prescription. However, when he called he states "I don't know if she's lying or not" all while my mother sat patiently and quietly. He did not simply say this once but two or three times. This doctor could have simply said he was calling to confirm the prescription but instead essentially accuses my mother of lying and being deceitful. Why? This is such poor professionalism. I dont know if it is because my mother had a heavy accent and he thought she would not understand or listen. Regardless of what his thought process is I would advise anyone and everyone who wants respectful service to avoid this eye doctor especially if you are a minority. I am so disheartened and sad with this experience. My mother and I will be taking our business elsewhere.

My experience was wonderful. I was helped selecting frames and when my glasses came in there were a few adjustments of the nose pads. I made an appointment for the following day to adjust them a little more. Laura was so patient with me and adjusted them perfectly. I highly recommend Sam's Optical at the Bloomington location. They are there to serve and go the extra mile to satisfy their customer. Their prices are very affordable, my rx was spot on and in a beautiful frame. Thank you, Mrs. S

Aubrey in the optical center is a real gem. She helped straighten out my bent frames and was very respectful during our interaction.
