12-Star Review because 5 stars simply isn't enough I had my eye exam at Arnold Eyecare Center and saw Dr. Jon, and let me tell you... this place restored my faith in eye doctors and humanity. First, full transparency. On my very first visit, I walked in, was told to "have a seat, we'll be right with you," and then briefly became part of the waiting room decor. I was sitting there long enough to start wondering if I should introduce myself to the chairs. BUT... once they realized what happened, they owned it immediately, apologized sincerely, and turned the whole thing around. Mistakes happen. How they handled it mattered, and they handled it well. Now let's talk about the exam. Thorough. Like "wow, you're actually checking my eyes and not my wallet" thorough. I've been going to Clarkson Eye Care for over 10 years, and this was the first time I didn't feel like someone was about to upsell me on premium air for my eyeballs. No pressure. No gimmicks. Just solid, honest care. Dr. Jon is the kind of doctor you hope for but rarely get. He explained everything in actual human language, not medical word salad. And here's the big one: he didn't rush out of the room like a superhero late for another appointment. We actually talked. Human to human. It was refreshing to be treated like a person instead of a chart. The staff deserves their own applause. Smiles everywhere. Friendly. Welcoming. Courteous. The kind of place where you feel comfortable asking questions without feeling dumb for having eyes in the first place. And the glasses? Picked them up today. FIVE DAYS. Including a snowstorm last weekend. That's faster than most Amazon deliveries. They arrived clean, perfect, no scuffs, no issues. Someone clearly cares. Bottom line: * Honest care * No sales pressure * Incredible staff * A doctor who treats you like a human * Fast service * Clean, perfect glasses I'm extremely happy with this facility and fully plan on giving them many years of my business. Dr. Jon is officially my eye doctor going forward. If you're tired of feeling "sold to" and just want excellent eye care with good people, this is the place.

Dr. Wilson and the entire staff here is warm, kind and really care about your eye health. I would recommend Arnold eye care to everyone!

As I approached Arnold Eye Care, I sheathed my sword as I felt at ease after a triumphant battle through the vastness of I55. Upon my entrance, I knew without a doubt that I would be treated with the best of service. This beautiful blonde specimen had turned her head and gazed upon my eyes which I could not break contact with. M'lady had taken myself back to the dungeon to check upon my vision. Her work was as impressive as the universe, hence I couldn't leave without showing my deepest appreciation. Dr. Shagg performed her wonderful magic and left me off with a bright future ahead. This is a very good place to come for eye care! I recommend to anyone, i do wish they accepted other insurances besides private insurance though, hard time getting someone to answer calls, on hold for over 5 minutes and they lost a pair of glasses so had to replace them.

Update 2: A few months later on July 3rd, the same woman is still there and still has the same attitude. Her name is Bonnie. This review stays 4 stars. Update: I am dropping this to 4 stars because of the older brunette receptionist who was abrasive, and was out of line on a phone call on sat, feb 15. When she is coached on how to treat customers, ill gladly raise this back to 5. I now understand why a few others on here have complained about receptionists. Its just this one woman, the others have given me no problems Original review: This place is absolutely amazing from top to bottom. I came from Clarkson Eye care after some bad experiences and this place is a breath of fresh air. With the exception of one older lady, the office staff is friendly, Dr. Schaag was awesome, and the intake tech, Miranda, is especially warm and friendly. The price is WAY more reasonable than Clarkson. VSP goes way further here than it ever did at Clarkson. I think I paid half of what I paid at Clarkson, if that. Also, unlike Clarkson, this place does not nickel and dime you. They have no problem giving me free contact lense solution each time I visit for anything, and they even are willing to provide you with up to two free sets of contact lenses in a calendar year in the event of an emergency so you don't end up using up lenses from your box of contact lenses prematurely. Also, unlike Clarkson, you get wipes for free with your glasses. And I have to give a shout out to Diane in the contact lense department. She is amazing. She goes above and beyond with me to make sure that my contact lenses are working out for me. She is quick to contact me if there are any issues, and she even helped me with my rebate form to make sure I got the best price possible on the contacts. Also, even when I was in for a backup glasses exam just last week, she remembered me and came over just to make sure everything was all good with my contacts, and of course had no problem hooking me up with more contact lense solution. Bottom line, especially if you are a Clarkson patient, give this place a try. A side note, this is a VSP premier edge facility. I'm sure there's a reason for that. As long as Arnold Eye care stays the way it is, I intend to keep going here and nowhere else. .

I have been going to Arnold eye care for years. My doctor is fantastic and very informative. The ladies in this office are above and beyond courteous and helpful. Best in the business!! Eye think you guys are the best I just Had to say it that way LOL Thanks for being amazing to me

All the employees and doctors were amazing! My son had an eye injury and had never been seen in their office, mind you this happened about an hour before they closed, and they had us come in right away and took care of everything. I cannot thank them enough for the compassion they showed my family. They are out of network with my insurance but that will not stop me from going there. I highly recommend!

Professional informative, and friendly staff. I'm 47 and been wearing reading glasses for 7 years. I went in the office not knowing anything, with blurry vision. Walked out able to see! They fitted and trained me how to insert contacts. Don't wait, get it done. Lets go!
