Dr. Warren S. Goldblatt, MD

I give Dr. Warren Goldblatt thousands of stars. And he has only done cataract surgery on one of my eyes. The other will receive his skilled attention soon. I can't wait. Since I was seven, I have worn glasses or contact lenses. Without them, I saw little but blurs, and my glasses had the special lenses that made them less thick. I certainly inherited my grandmother's poor eyesight. Two or three years ago my favorite Eyesight Ophthalmic optometrist, Dr. Christopher Turner, discovered cataracts had developed in my eyes. Finally, this January they were ready for surgery, and Dr. Turner sent me to Dr. Goldblatt. Thank heavens. I planned to upgrade my cataract surgery process, but time constraints and my terrible vision caused me to abandon that plan. Five days ago Dr. Goldblatt operated on my right eye. My vision improvement was immediate and profound. Dr. Goldblatt called me that evening to check on my progress. I assured him that I was experiencing no discomfit, my halos had largely disappeared, I had no blurriness and my vision was quite amazing. I was doing handsprings. The next morning, less than 24 hours after my surgery, I had my post-op appointment with Dr. Sullivan and everything looked "perfect." On Thursday, I received a second call from Dr. Goldblatt. He said he had gone over all my post-op information and wanted me to know that less than a day after surgery my right eye had 20/25 vision. He was delighted, and I was over the moon. I told him that my vision had improved since Monday. I can read road signs easily from a distance, night driving is no longer a problem, and colors...particularly blues and whites... are incredibly more vivid. I suspect the vision in my right eye is now 20/20 or close to it. And since I was seven I had had blurred vision in both eyes! Only in one now, and that will soon be addressed. Monovision will be back in my life soon, and I am so looking forward to dumping my readers. Am I indebted to and grateful for Dr. Goldblatt's markedly professional skills? Beyond words. He is meticulous, direct, and focused. If you are looking for warm and fuzzy bedside manner, perhaps he is not for you. I seek a highly skilled professional for my eyes. Period. To hell with personality. That said, I like Dr. Goldblatt's bluntness and dry humor immensely. I will review my left eye surgery in three weeks; I am confident that I will be doing handsprings again. I am so looking forward to seeing you again, Dr. Goldblatt, and enjoy your well-deserved vacation.

He operated successfully on my left eye (cataract) and I have had no problems whatsoever. However, when I went to see him about what (to me) seemed to be a detached retina in the right eye, no one seemed all that concerned, and my visit to have him look at this was nearly a week after I first discovered it. He spent over an hour examining me--and then told me I had a floater and I "should go home and get used to it." Never once did he mention the words 'detached retina" in my presence, or explain anything about it. Offhandedly he suggested if there was a vision change I should call him. Two days later the retina detached completely and I am now totally blind in that eye. I never bothered to go back, since by then the damage was done. When I mentioned this to one of his associates they defended him, saying he was an 'excellent" doctor.

Mr Goldblatt prescribed a very heavy dosage of eye drops for our son Matthew at the time age 5. It caused him discomfort, and blurriness.. When my wife called him out on it , he was quite rude and arrogant. Only to find out later from another eye doctor, that they stated " the eye drops were totally unnecessary" . We have not yet decided if we will press charges, but I will say that we will not be going back to this quack . Mr Goldblatt, you should park your pompous attitude, go back to school and take some courses in human behavior . On the other hand ,it is clear that your skills as an eye doctor are certainly questionable .

He's a wonderful eye doctor!! He's a very experienced doctor, told him my eye problems and he corrected my vision problems!!
