Dr. Patricia Cucci is an outstanding ophthalmologist. I have been seeing her for several years. I am a Type 1 Diabetic and need to be proactive with my eye care. Dr. Cucci is very warm, kind, understanding and personable. I have been given the best treatment from her. I am grateful to have Dr. Cucci treat my vision.

When I got there they told us they were down a doctor and that it would be a "long" wait. 2.5 hours later we finally got the ball rolling for the checks before seeing the doctor. In total we were there for almost 4 hours. You'd think if they're down a doctor they would maybe call patients for the day and see if any would want to reschedule as to ease the burden on the present doctors.
In addition to that - we saw Dr. Cucci who was nice and whatnot, but after all that waiting she had basically said she wouldn't be willing to do cataract surgery for my mother since it was a little too advanced. Totally fine except she also told me she'd present the case to the other doctors she works with in Hackensack and get back to me. Never got back to me, a month later I had to call and ask her myself what the next steps are. Now we are scheduled for another consult another month later so this whole process has taken 3 months as it is.
Overall, the desk staff is nice.

So... I went yesterday to see Dr. Cucci because I wasn't seeing as crisp as I should be. I received a warm welcome from the staff. Kathy was very professional and knowledgeable as she did the pre-diagnostic tests! Then, Dr. Cucci gave me her utmost attention! She adjusted my vision with a new prescription and answered EVERY SINGLE QUESTION I asked!
This is the first time I've been treated with patience and kindness. Other practices just pass you over to different people and there's no time to truly address your concerns.
