After years of struggling with Keratoconus, I have been seeing Dr. Scheno for about 4 years now. My eye problems are no longer a problem. He also fitted me for glasses that I can wear around the house and even go out and drive. I highly recommend him. Great staff too!

Dr Scheno is probably the best eye doctor I have come across. I have a very complicated cornea condition that has thrown very experienced optometrists and ophthalmologists totally off their game.
Dr Scheno treated it like it was just another Friday. The results were amazing. His interaction with his patients is incredibly good and I felt very welcome.
What a truly good find. If you have a difficult eye condition and live anywhere near Long Island, this is the place to go.

Dr. Scheno is everything you could ask for in a doctor, let alone a specialist for people with rare eye ailments. He is truly dedicated to helping his patients and helped my mom find a lense that is comfortable and has improved her sight significantly!

I have been to Dr Scheno 1.5 years ago. He suggested a specific scleral lense on my eye which turned out to be ineffective as it was getting foggy after a few hours I put it on. I brought this to his attention several times and visited his clinic too. However my vision was deteriorating in the lapse of time. He never managed to tackle the issue or even realised what the problem was. I figured out later with another doctor that the lense he suggested was improper and once I switched to the new scleral lense I had no problem at all. In the meantime though I was suffering for 1.5 years being half-sighted and also I stumped up 2500 dollars! which was completely gone. So presumably my experience was really bad with Dr Scheno and I discourage anybody going to him.

Dr. Scheno was savior for me. Keratoconus Can be extremely frustrating on how to deal with it. Their were ups and downs with this eye disease. I was not happy at all with OCLI where all they cared about was quantity, not quality of there services. Dr Chris is very personal and takes his time with his patients. He will answer all of your questions. His office is very clean and his staff is always professional. He got me basically seeing 20/20. Don't look elsewhere.

Mr. Scheno made me a set of lens.
I brought the lens to another Eye because they just didn't seem right.
One lens was 3x times too far from my eye to be affective. The other lens was dangerous close to my cornea. After not being able to see for obvious reasons Mr. Scheno suggests let's put glasses on top of this mess. No thanks ! This is not really the center for KC. I wouldn't go here with complex eye issues.

We are the only practice in NY solely focused on the patient with keratoconus. We offer procedures and treatments that are not available elsewhere such as scleral, hybrid, gas permeable and custom soft contacts for keratoconus and other corneal disorders. We also offer amniotic membrane therapy to rehabilitate the damaged cornea as well as corneal refractive therapy for vision correction and myopia control as well as multi focal contact lenses for those 45 and over that can turn the clock back to a time when vision was less of an issue.
