Nice place, very friendly and helpful. Got some driving glasses as well as some driving sun glasses . First time buying these types of glasses. So I guess the prices were fare.
This place is the answer to everything vision related in one place. It changed everything for my family as now instead of having to go to the separate eye doctor and then someplace else for glasses, they have an amazing optometrist right there who is not only competent but has the most incredible bedside manner to deal with children. If that isn't enough, they have a technician who can fix anything and several employees who can guide you through the rest of the process both with insurance and choosing frames and such. This is the only place to go
Amazing local one-stop shop for all things optical! The staff is highly qualified, and they even have an actual eye doctor on site. All prices are posted--no gimmicks. They'll make sure your frames work with your prescription, not against it. Their focus is on you, not your wallet, and their prices are truly accessible.
Unlike other places, they won't try to overcharge your insurance--or you. If you're a teacher, they accept your vision plan! They also carry the good GVS frames, not the poor-quality ones that some places bill at premium prices to your insurance.
You can choose any frame, and they'll bring out a table so you can clearly see exactly what you'll pay (either covered by your insurance, or you pay the difference). Every frame is labeled with its price, and they'll work with you to maximize your benefits. They even manufacture eyeglasses in-house, right on Merrick!
While I really wanted RGP contacts (sadly, my insurance doesn't cover them), I'm absolutely thrilled with my eyeglasses. I look good, I see well, and I can navigate life without limitations.
My eyeglasses were beautifully crafted with polished edges and everything! . See attached picture
This place is Gold, give them a try!

Dr George Boyle Od is my Irlen dyslexia expert optometrist. He treats me for years now and helps create the glasses for Irlen dyslexia tinting. He's. Amazing. He does awesome testing and great glasses
Vision People are the best! I've been to many optical stores in my day and hands down, from the opticians to the staff, all are caring, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to make having an eye exam and purchasing contacs and glasses a pleasant experience.
These guys are the best in the business! I can't recommend them enough. I have commuted from Queens to have Dr. Boyle look at my eyes for years. He's super knowledgeable, his exams are thorough and he always puts me at ease. Shout out to the ladies in the front who are kind, organized and helpful - love my new pair of glasses!
I've been going to Vision People for about 5 years. It is always a pleasure! This year, the technician Isabella was patient and professional and Debbie at the front desk was fantastic.
Dr. Boyle and the entire staff at Vision People of Bellmore go above and beyond in taking care of their patients. Dr. Boyle has been a LIFESAVER for my daughter, who suffers from light sensitivity. Over the last 5 years, he has always taken the time to listen to our concerns and work with us to find the right solution to whatever has come up. Dr. Boyle realizes each patient is different and their needs are not one size fits all. He has personally contacted specialty contact lens companies to research options for tinted contacts on our behalf to help reduce light induced migraines. Our family can never thank him for giving our daughter the opportunity to live her life as everyone else does.
The staff at Vision People also never hesitate to help, whether it is choosing the right products, making sure everything fits correctly, rescheduling appointments, or even filling out specialty paperwork needed for school. When a particular brand of contact lenses was recently discontinued by the manufacturer, the staff of Vision People inquired with different companies to find the best alternative for our needs. I have never found an office where everyone works to make sure the patient is taken care of so thoroughly. As a patient myself, I can attest to their professionalism and dedication.
Thank you Vision People of Bellmore for always being there whenever my family needs you.
