I LOVE Battin eye care. They are very thorough with the exams, care, and have a great selection to choose from with glasses and sunglasses. Recommend!

I first went to Battin Optical as a 5 yr. old when grandfather Battin had a location in Lackawanna next to the Towne theater. Got new glasses every year there until I moved from the area in my 20's. Having moved back to the South towns, I was happy to see a location in Hamburg and did not hesitate to revisit. Dr. Joe is so friendly. His staff is awesome. Kelsey, an optician is the best. Knowledgeable and friendly. She had so much patience with me. It only took me a month of indecisiveness to choose frames after checking out both the Hamburg and Buffalo locations! Not for lack of selection either. Kelsey knew what I wanted and remained on the lookout for frames she thought I might like, putting them aside or bringing them to the other store. I can't tell you how much personal attention I received from her and her enthusiastic sweet coworker, Jenna. Together, they found my pretty, and fun Krewe frames. Riley at the desk let me wander through the store to try on glasses. Sue fitted me. All were helpful, including Michelle on the business side. Battin Optical is a three generation family business with lovely showrooms and quality fashionable eyewear. They are professional and experienced. I cannot thank them enough for helping me.

My family has been going to Battin Eyecare for over a decade and would not consider going elsewhere. Dr. Battin is thorough, patient and an excellent doctor. The office is welcoming, modern and has a great selection of frames in a wide range of pricing. Five stars!

I have been getting my glasses here for years. I love coming here because of the professional and personalized treatment received by the staff. Dr. Battin always remembers me and my love of my dogs. He always asks "How are the doggies "? Battin Optical is a very comfortable place to be and I always get the perfect frame. Dr. Battin knows automatically what I want in my lenses. I've always preferred real glass instead of the plastic lenses used today. I was able to have real glass except for the past couple of years. Dr. Battin explained why I could no longer get real glass in my lenses and I've gotten used to plastic-and actually like them. I won't go anywhere else for my glasses. I love this office and the staff. Another big plus for me is that Dr. Battin loves dogs! He's always telling me to bring my dogs if I want. But my dogs are little hellions and I'd be afraid of what they would do to their beautifully designed office. I would be mortified to bring my Brittany Spaniel "Duncan" in. The first thing he would probably do is lift his leg somewhere. So when I do bring one of my dogs, they stay in the car! Both my husband and I love getting our glasses here and we'll never go anywhere else.

If I could give this place 100 stars I would, dr Joseph is simply amazing, you can tell he absolutely cares about what he does and his patients. Also the optometric assistant who took care of me was also amazing, she had me laughing as if we were best of friends. Everyone from the receptionist to the woman showing me glasses was great! Will recommend this place to anyone!

I absolutely love it here! I started being seen here over a year ago when I had an ulcer on my eye. I was in horrible pain, they fit me right in, and explored the reason behind me continuing to get them, instead of just prescribing medication. They took the time and made me feel important. Father and son great team!

Walked in to ask if my 95-year-old mother's prescription was a progressive lens and if we could have a single vision pair of reading glasses made from it. She also has a prism. Explained my mother is disabled and getting her anywhere is an ordeal, so I wanted to know if what she wanted was possible before trying to get her in there. The receptionist twice asked someone named MIchelle, who apparently could've answer my questions, but chose instead to refuse to speak to me directly as she was off the clock. I was told my only option was to make an appointment. I chose instead to go to one of their competitors (who said they've heard other stories like this about Battin). They very nicely and professionally answered all of my questions, and checked my mother's insurance to verify everything would be covered. We will be taking our business there.
